Message: Hello, I would like to voice my opinion in three short comments regarding the recent
effort to make our beautiful town a sanctuary. 1. It is the job of the city to protect it's people, not
to bring law breaking people into this town in order to "Protect" them which is by definition
what a "Sanctuary city" is used for. 2. It is already hard enough to find affordable housing and
decent paying jobs to support families. Where will these additional people live? We may be
talking thousands more people here. What jobs will they take away from us who need them? 3.
We have seen in recent news that we have an issue with homeless teens, and the homeless
warming center struggles. Why should we harbor law-breaking people when we can't take care
of our own? With all due respect this would be a terrible disservice to the people in this city. We
as residents should be allowed to vote for this. Please, hold a special city wide vote on this.
