My family are residents of Gallatin County since 2006. I would recommend that Bozeman
declines becoming a Santuary city. I think there are many ways to support immigrants but
trying to promote illegal immigration when so many have been waiting patiently, going through
the proper channel to come to the USA is not right. It is disrespectful to the process and
harmful to those that are taking the proper channels and methods to become legal immigrants
in the USA. It would just further promote people to avoid following the law and going through
the legal process of immigration. I would like to see more energy and resources going toward
accepting legal immigrants within our community and would 100% support this (with money,
perhaps hosting a family during transition, mentoring a family, etc etc.)
