City Manager Fryaliel City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. 1 Reverend Robert H. Mulkey of the Grand Avenue Christian Church opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commis- sioner Morrowl seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes as read be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none Bond & Contract S.I.D., No's. 427, 428, 430, 431, 433 and 434 The contract documents for construotion of Special Improvement Distriot No's. 427, 428, 430, 431, 433 and 434, as awarded to Robertson & Blossoml ~ - - ~ --.. -.......- Great FallS, Montana, on December 11, 1963 were presented. The contracts and bonds were approved as to form by the City Attorney and it was moved by Commis- sioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrowl that the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to sign the contracts for the City of Bozeman and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morray; those voting 1 No, none. Applica tions City Beer and Liquor Licenses (1964) The following applications for City beer and liquor licensesl together with the required fees, were presented: Name - Beer - Arcade I Inc. The Ci ty Manager and the Chief of Police s ta ted they were not aware of any incidents in the operations of the above establishments that would warrant dis- approval of the applications. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Managerl it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the above apPlications be approved and the Director of Finance be directed to issue licenses in accordance therewith and the motion was carried by the fOllOWing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. 1- Authority to Invest Funds (Water and Police Reserve) It was reported by the Director of Finance that $50,000 of Water funds now invested in U.S. Government securities is maturing and that he requested authority to reinvest the fund and to invest $4,OUO of Police Feserve funds in like securities. The City Manager recommended that the requested authority be granted and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the request as recommended by approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; I 39L1 those voting No, none. Purchase of Water Meters The City Manager reported the City is in need of 3/4" water meters and requested that he be granted authority to purchase thirty-four (34) of the water meters at a total approximate cost of $99u.UO. It was moved by Oommis- sioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the authorization to purchase the meters be granted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; thosevotlng NOI none. Services " " " 436 1,244.63 " tt tt tt 436 873.55 tt tt Cave Cons truc tion Co. 436 12,579.07 Es time te No. 1 The City Manager commented on the c~airns and stated he had audited them and found them to be true and lawful c~aims against the City of Bozeman and recommended that they be approved and the Director of Finance directed to issue warrants in payment for all claims drawn on Special Improvement District NO'S. 424, 425, 426, and 429, with the exception of payment of the claim to Long Construction Company drawn on $peciai Improvement District No. 424, in the amount of $11,266.671 Engineer's Estimate No. 7-Seml-final, dated Dec. 16, 1963, pending signing of the claim by the contractor. A~so, that payment of claims drawn on Special Improvement District No's. 427, 428, 430, 431, 432, 433, 434 and 436 be delayed until receipt of the monies from the sale of the bonds of the districts. I It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the claims, as presented, be approved and the Director of Finance directed to issue warrants in payment in the manner recommended by the City Manager. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports for the month of November, 1963 were presented: Director of Finance Fluoridation The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by Commissioner Morrowl seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaherl Commis- sioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. License Bond Brown flubming & Heatingl Townsendl Montana (Electrician) In compliance with Chapter 16 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the electrical bond of Brown Plumbing & Heatingl Townesendl Montana, was presented for approval. I The City Manager reported that the Building Inspector had approved the concern and recommended that the bond be approved. The City attorney approved the bond as to form and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commis- sioner Morrow, that the bond be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commis- sioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
