Tusken - SanctuaryDear Mayor and City Commissions, I saw in the news last night that a group presented to this week's meeting requesting Bozeman becoming a Sanctuary City to be added to the agenda. I do not believe shielding illegal immigrants from their lawful deportment is in the best interest of Bozeman, much less the United States of America. We have laws in our country and they should be followed. We have seen far too many crimes throughout our country committed by illegal aliens who have been shielded from our laws in these sanctuary cities and have gone on to commit worse acts. While I greatly believe in charity and helping the less fortunate, there are much better and safer ways we can help than keeping law-offenders from receiving the consequences of the law. Bozeman would much better serve our country by taking time and money to serve the homeless population that live right under our noses, as opposed to getting involved in Federal Government policy. Every city and state should be supporting our elected leaders, not reveling against them. Thank you for considering my opinion. Sincerely, Cheryl Tusken 29 Border Ln # 3 Bozeman 59718
