Message: Members of the Commission, It is my understanding there will be a group at the February 6th
meeting, tonight, to petition the commission to have the city of Bozeman to declare itself a "sanctuary
city." As the wife of a legal immigrant I ask the commission to OPPPSE this request. This is an issue that
should require the vote of the people and I imagine MANY would oppose this as it is well known
Sanctuary Cities have extremely high violent crime rates (i.e. San Frans, Chicago), committed by many
illegal immigrants they protect. We must think of our children. For instance, Germany now has a major
problem with rape against women and children even during the day and the environment there has
become increasingly hostile in this way. It is also my belief we must respect the immigration laws in
place as well as the actions of our President and trust that our leaders are striving for wise decision
making in the best interest of all Americans, legal immigrants included. Thank you, Corrie Meza
