Re: Black – Olive Apartment Development TIS
This letter is in response to the City of Bozeman Planning Development Review
Committee’s conditions for approval, specifically Engineering Division’s Item 3
Section 38.24.010.A. Our recommendation in the Traffic Impact Study indicated
that the garage access be designed to allow sufficient sight distance on Olive
Street similar to requirements for mid-block alley approaches.
In my review of preliminary site plans, I evaluated the sight distance parameters
and suggested possible modifications to improve sight distance. Subsequent
changes have been made and I have reviewed the most recent site plan dated
January 24, 2017. Based on my review, I can state that the sight distance
associated with the proposed design meets the intent of recommendations
contained in my TIS for this project.
