HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-12-04 375 Boteman, Montana December 4, 1963 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis- sion Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, December 4, 1963 at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow, City Manager Cutting and the Clerk. Reverend Jack Dabner of the Evangelical United Brethren Church opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by CommiS- sioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes as corrected be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, CommiSSioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; I those voting No, none. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. 37(.'" ~''"l U Resolution No. 1103 -- Certifying Delinquent Taxes (1963) Resolution No. 1103 oertifying delinquent taxes in the amount of $44,752.84 to the County Treasurer was presented, entitled: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1103 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESS- MENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1963, AND UNPAID AS OF THAT DATE, AND CERTAIN OTHER SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALL- MENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30TH, 1963, AND UNPAID, DELINQUENT, AS PROVIDED BY CHAPTER 2.32 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE AND SECTION 11-2233, POLITICAL CODE, R.C.M., 1947. I It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seoonded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudeher, Commis- sioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports were preeented: Librarian Fire Chief Police J"udge The City Manager commented on the reports and reoommended their approval. Building Inspector Police Chief it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seoonded by Commissioner Morrow, tha t the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the follOW- ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Bond & Contract S.I.D., No. ~6 (Release of Bid Security) The contract documents for construction of Special Improvement Distriot No. 436, as provisionally awarded to Cave Construction Company were presented. I The contract and bond were approved as to form by the City Attorney and the Commission was advised that the contractor had executed the contract documents and the performance bond. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the execution of the contraot and bond by the contractor be approved and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to return the bid seourity to Cave Construction Company. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; th~se voting No, none. After examination of the claims in detail and ohecking against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
