Hello,
I would like to add a public comment to last monday's agenda. I would also like the chance to
present some facts about Fashion Trucks and Food Truck Parks. Is it possible to be personally
added to the agenda for Feb 27th meeting? This is very very important.
"Kelley Krekelberg, 1604 Buckrake Ave, Bozeman MT, I have three key points I'd like to
share with you,
1. I am the owner of the Vogue Mobile Fashion Truck. I can't even begin to address the
discrimination Kelsey Schuerg and I feel with this new proposed change of food truck
regulations, this new proposal only addressing the food vendors. We were not even
acknowledged in the new proposal yet we are the ones that are most deeply effected. I applied
for a job yesterday because I'm worried the city of Bozeman will eliminate my business I
worked so hard to start. 9pm-2am hours of operation really? I will have to sit my fashion truck
and hope I don't get harassed or stolen from? It was a mistake not to directly address fashion
trucks separate from food trucks because we are a completely different business model. There
are 4 fashion trucks in Montana that this will effect. We are all young women entrepreneurs
and came to Bozeman because it was a great place to live and start businesses.
2. Also the cost to RE-renovate my fashion truck to enter in from a side door is devastating I
got a quote for over $9,000. NYC, LA, Austin, Dallas, Miami, San Diego, Minneapolis,
Chicago, I've spoken to all my fellow fashion truck friends and they don't have these
regulations to vend out of a side door. Why in this small town is it now just being raised as a
safety issue? If its that big of a safety issue we need a grant or some help paying for this
change or policy.
3. And 3rd, since mobile vending is acknowledged as a positive thing for Bozeman I think that
we should have a Mobile Vending Park. Possibly more than one. This will make me feel like
the city DOES listen and appreciate us. The first proposal will be for the city center parking
lot. The Bozeman Mobile Association and the Chamber will present to owner Michael Bennett
on March 1st to see if we can set up a temporary Mobile vending park on the demolished city
center lot. Once the public finds out that Food Truck Friday is a goner there will be once again
another demand for affordable lunch time meals and shopping. If Michael Bennett approves
this proposal we would like to get local sponsors and possibly city funding for this on going
project. Here is a copy of the presentation we plan to showcase.

Kelley Krekelberg

Bozeman Food & Retail
Trucks
Currently Bozeman Montana has approx. 12+ mobile
vendors.
This includes three retail trucks, and 9+ mobile food
vendors.
From 2014-2016 a local design firm hosted a Food
Truck Friday for the months of June and July. 11am-
2pm. Thousands of people flocked for their afternoon
social and lunch hour, with the newest addition of
retail trucks.
New Bozeman regs will eliminate FTF permanently,
due to its downtown location.
