The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis-
sion Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, April lv, 1963 at ~:uO o'clock p.m.
Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner SediVY, Commissioner Morrow, City
Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
The fOilowing proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commis-
sioner Morrow, seconded by Mayor Staudaher, that the minutes be approved as read
and the mo'tion was carried by the follOWing Aye and No vo'te: those voting Aye
being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting
No, none.
Authorization
Outdoor Light at Rest Rooms (Lindley Park)
The Commission was referred to its action of March 13th, i963, and the
request of the Bozeman Housekeepers Club, as a part of its "Better Street Light-
ing for the City" program, that an outdoor light be placed in the vacinity of
Lindiey Park. The City Manager recommended that in addition to the foregOing
light, an additionai light be piaced adjacent to the rest rooms in Lindley Park,
and it was moved by Commissioner SediVY, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, tnat the
installation of the additional light as recommended be approved and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher,
Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
Sale of Lots
4 & 5, Block 3, Far-Western Subdivision to Sim-Graf Corp.
The City Commission was referred to Commission action of November 12, 1958,
and an agreement entered into between Sim-Graf Corporation and the City of
Bozeman, Whereby said corpora tlon agreed tha tit would, a t any time wi thin thirty
days after written demand by the City, convey Lots Four (4) and Five (5), Block
Three (3), of Far-Western Sub-division to the City for park purposes. The City
Manager reported that Sim-Graf Corporation has now offered to pay $1,60U.UO to
the City of Bozeman for a release and satisfaction of the agreement and recommended
tnat the City of Bozeman accept the offer and the funds be placed in the Park Trust
Fund to be used for the purcnase of land for City park purposes at a future date.
It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by CommiSSioner Sedivy, that the
offer, in the amount of $1,600.UO from Sim-Graf Corporation be accepted and the City
Attorney instructed to prepare the proper instruments to satisfy and release the
agreement in favor of the Sim-Graf Corpora'tion. The motion was carried by the
follOWing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner
Morrow and CommiSSioner SediVY; those voting No, none.

Ass't. Fire Chief Huber reported on his and Lieutenant Embry's attendance at
the Fire Departme:nt COll1l'l1and School"',tYakima, WaShington, April 1st thru the 4th.

Hia report consisted of a resume of the various types of training presented dur-
ing the school and his emphaSiS tnat this training is of considerable value to
the Bozeman Fire Department. City Manager Cutting commented that it continues to

be demonstrated the City is definiteLY benefited by the attendance of its personneL
at professional meetings and such training programs as this command school held at
Yakima. Mayor Staudaher compL1mented Mr. Huber on the excellence of his report.
Establishment of "AAIt Ra tine; for Ci ty of Bozeman Municipal Bonds
The City Manager reported Standard & Poor's, and Moody's Investors Service,
nationaLly known counsel and consultant firms, have set "AA" ratings on 'the Series
B, Water Refunding Revenue Bonds of the City which are to be sold ApriL 15, 1963;
and also that Standard and Poor's have rated the Series A bonds of the City as
AAA, the firm's highest rating.

Request
MSC Rodeo Club Parade
2:00 p.m., April 27th
A request from the MSC Rodeo Club for permission to stage a parade from
Bogart Grove to West Main Street and tnence westerLy to the High School on
Saturday, April 27th, at 2:UU p.m., was presented. It was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by .commissioner Morrow, that permission be granted and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor
Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and CommisSioner Morrow; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and stated he had audited them and
found them to be true and lawful CLaims against tne City of Bozeman and recom-
mended that they be approved and the Director of Finance directed to issue war-
rants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and Checking
against the claim register, it was moved by CommisSioner Morrow, seconded by
Commissioner Sedivy, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion
was carried by the fOLloWing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor
3taudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this
time it was moved by Comnissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner MQrrow,
that the meeting adjourn. The motion was carried by the follOWing Aye and No
