The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the
Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, May 22, 1963 at 1:00 o'clock
p.m. Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow,

City Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie and the Clerk.
. The following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be
approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner
Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Enforcement of Garbage Ordinance
Val Glynn appeared to demand a more strict enforcement of Chapter 5.20 of
the Bozeman Municipal Code, the garbage ordinance, be carried out, particularly
in his immediate neighborhood. Mr. Glynn was informed a program is aLready
under way to accomplish a more satisfactory garbage condition throughout the
City including public notice remlndlngpll citizens of the City of the pro-
visions of the ordinance.

After comments pertaining to the reports by the City Manager, it was
moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the reports

be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye
and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and
Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
Waiver of Permi t & Inspection Fees to Public Agency
New High School
Addition
The City Manager reported it has been the policy of the City to waive
the usual fees for building permits and inspection to public agencies, and
recommended the same policy apply to the new addition of the Bozeman High
School. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy,
that the aforementioned policy be continued and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner
Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Authorization to Call for Bids
Street Sweeper

It was reported it is necessary to replace the street sweeper at an
estimated cost of $13,UOO.Uu, and the City Manager requested authorization
to publish a "Call for Bids" for an opening dat"e of June 26, 1963 with pay-
ment to be made under the next succeeding budget. It was moved by Commis-

Authority to Travel
Municipal League Meeting
It was reported the Montana Municipal League has scheduled a meeting of
its officers and members of the Executive and Legislative Committees to be
held in Helena, May 24th, and the City Manager requested that the members of
the City Commission and he be authorized to attend the meeting. It was moved
by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the authorization
to attend the meeting be approved and, it being in the public in'terest, the
travel expenses incurred be paid from the General fund. The motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher,
COmmlSS.luner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this
time it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow,

that the meeting adjourn. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No
