HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-14-17 Public Comment - E. Hosking - GeneralAll terrible ideas. Please consider the value of this place we call Bozeman, the uniqueness of its neighborhoods, the importance of what historical feel is left. On the edge of real neighborhoods like South Bozeman, the Northeast Side, Cooper Park - any building taller that two stories is an insult. Do you have any idea of how you've ruined the value of Bozeman's tiny houses on Lamme by allowing the ugly monster to be built on Mendenhall? Do you have any idea how ludicrous is the apartment building looming across the street from the grammar school on Church? And how it has tangled and will forever tangle parking and reduce safety in that area? If building buildings inappropriate to Bozeman is your idea of necessity, why not go further out of downtown? There's an ugly empty space now where K-Mart used to be. There are still empty spaces along I-90 and near the fairgrounds where the kind of people who live in apartments could be happy. (I'm thinking not families.) I urge you to reconsider the changes made to zoning recently that have so insulted and disturbed your downtown neighborhoods. Eileen Hosking Eileenhosking406@gmail.com
