The Commission of the City of Bozeman met 1n regular session in the
Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, February 6, 1963 at 1:00
o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner
Morrow, City Manager Cutting, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
The following proceedings were had:

Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commis-
sioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved
as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner
Morrow; those voting No, none.
Au thori ty to Travel
Attendance at Hearings Pertaining to Planning
Board Legislation
It was reported that hearings are scheduled on February 6th and 7th, at
Heiena, on matters pertaining to future Planning Board Legislation and it was
recommended that Ass't. City Manager Frysiie, as secretary to the local City=
County Planning Board, and two members of the board be authorized to attend the
hearings and, it being in the public interest, the travel expenses incurred be
charged against the Piannlng Board fund. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the aforementioned travel, as recommended,
be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy;

Contination Certificates
Plumbing & Gas Fitters
The Cmtlm.a.tlonCertificates for the renewal of the gas fitters and
plumbing bonds of George Norman, Belgrade, and C. E. Anderson, dba/Budd
Plumbing & Heating, respectiveiy, were presented. It was reported the Build-
ing Inspector had approved the continuation of the bonds. After approval of
the certificates as to form by the City Attorney, it was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the certificates be approved and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye be-
ing Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting
No, none.
Authority to Invest Operational Funds Not Immediately Needed
The City Manager reported that $lSU,UUO.UO of operational funds are now
on deposit, but not immediately needed to meet current operational expenses,
and the Director of Finance had requested authority to invest the funds in
U.S. Government securities in amounts and for the terms as follows:

Upon the City Manager's recommendation it was moved by Commissioner
Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that tb.~ investment of the funds as
outlined be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commis-
sioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and stated he had audited them
and found them to be true and lawful olaims agams t the C1 ty of Bozeman and
reoommended that they be approved and the Director of Finanoe direoted to issue
warrants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and ohecking
against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by
Commissioner Morrow, that all c~alms as presented be approved and the motion

Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.

Adjournment
There bing no further business to oome before the Commission at this

that the meeting adjourn. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No
