The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the
Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, January 2, 1963 at 1:00 o'clock
p.m. Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow,

City Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the
Clerk.
The following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held December 19, 1962 were read and it
was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Mayor Staudaher, that the minutes
be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner
Sedtvy; those voting No, none.
Minutes of the regular session held December 26, 1962 were read and it
was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the
minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye
and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and
Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
Purchase of Sewer Rods & Couplings
The City Manager reported that the City is in need of sewer rods and
couplings, at an estimated cost of $850.UO. It was moved by Commissioner
Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the authority to purchase the
aforementioned items be approved and the motion was carried by 'the following

Authority to Attend Planning Meeting
Helena, January 3, 1963
It was reported that officials of the State Planning Board had scheduled
a meeting in Helena at 10:00 A.M., on January 3, 1963, for the purpose of
discussing proposed legislation in regard to Planning Board matters and county

zoning outside of cities to be submitted to the coming session of Legislature.
The City Manager recommended that Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, as secretary of
the local board, Ralph Aaker of the Board of County Commissioners, H. D. Korslund
and C. V. Henderson, a~l members of the local Planning board, be authorized to
attend the meeting and, it being in the publiC interest, their travel expenses
be paid from the Planning Board Fund. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy,
seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the travel as requested be approved and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those

Release Spady Rest Home from Future Garbage Assessments
It was reported that the proprietors of the Spady Rest Home have
requested to be exempted as a commercial enterprise from future garbage
assessments. The City Manager stated that the home could now be classified
as a commercial firm and recommended tha t the reques t be gran ted under the pro'"

visions of Chapter 5.20 of the Bozeman Municipai Code. It was moved by Commis-
sioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that tne future garbage assess-
ments as recommended be discontinued and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and
Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and stated he had audited them
and found them to be true and lawful claims against the City of Bozeman a~d
recommended that they be approved and the Director of Finance directed to issue
I
warrants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and checking
against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by
Commissioner Morrow, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor
Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this
time it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that
the meeting adjourn. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner
Sedivy; those voting No, none.
