City Manager Frys~le, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. The following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commis- sioner SediVY, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved BS read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those va ting No, none. Purchase -_. (2-ton truck, Street Department) This was the time and place set for opening bids for the purchase of a 2-ton dump truck for use by the street department. The affidavit of publication of the "Call for B1ds. was presented. It was moved byCommiss10ner Morrow, sec- onded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the bids be opened and read and the motion was carr1ed by the fOllOWing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner MorrowBnd Commissioner Bedivy; those voting No, none. Requests for permission to Stage Annual Fund Raising Drives -- (Girl Scouts and Lions Club) The requests of the Girl Scouts and local Lions club to conduct their local fund ra~ising campaigns during this week within the City were approved. . 176 " ~ Right-of-way Easement -- SID No's. 425 & 426, Milwaukee Railroad A right-ot-way easement granted by the Milwaukee Railroad for the sewer trunk lines of SID No's. 425 and 426 was presented. The easemen t was approved as to form by the City Attorney .and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, sec- onded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the document be accepted and approved and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to sign for the City and the I motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Ordinance No. 838 -- Vaca ting The City Attorney, as instructed, had prepared an ordinance vaoating a portion ot South Tracy Avenue. Ordinance No. 838 was presented, entitled: ORDINANCE NO. 838 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA VACATING ALL OF THAT PORTION OF SOUTH TRACY AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF EAST GARFIELD STREET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF THE UNIVERSITY SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seoonded by Commissioner Morrow, that the ordinanoe be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commis- sioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Resolution No. 1058, Authorization of Bonds -_. S.I.D., No. 424 Resolution No. lU58 authorizing the amount of bonds to be sold for Special I Improvement District No. 424, and setting the dates for the issue and maturity date of said bonds was presented, entitled: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1058 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN FIXING THE DATE, MATURITY DATE, AND PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF BONDS ISSUED IN S.PECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 424. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that . . the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was oarried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow, ~, and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Reports The following reports were presented as follows: Librarian Building Inspector Polioe Chief Fire Chief Police Judge Disposal Plant Cashier Operator The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, tha t the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the tollow- I ing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Atter exam- ination of the claims in detail and checking against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye 'and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Resignation of Charles Liquin as City Engineer A letter addressed to the City Manager from Charles Liquin announcing his resignation trom the position ot City Engineer for the City of Bozeman to accept I employment in a similar capaoity at Billings, Montana, effective January 1, 1963, was read. The City Manager informed the Commission that Mr. Liquin's resignation , was of necessity acoepted and that he was extending to Mr. Liquin an expression of appreoiation for his outstanding services to the City of Bozeman. The Commission was, also, informed announoement would be made next week ot plans to till this , vaoanoy. Acceptance of Mr. Liquin's resignation was approved and the Manager instruoted to prepare a similar letter of appreciation on behalf of the Commission. Adjournment .. ... ..
