HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-12-26 198 Bozeman, Montana December 26, 1962 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, December 2'6, 1962 at 1:00 orclock P.M. Present were Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Cutting and Acting City Attorney Angel. I The following proceedings were had: Reading of the minutes of the Last regular session was waived. MAyor Staudaherrs and the Clerk of the City Commission's Absences Approved It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that Mayor Staudaherrs absence from the meeting be considered as authorized in accordance with Chapter 2.08 of the Bozeman Municipal Code as well as the absence of the Clerk of the City Commission and that Commissioner Morrow be designated as Acting Mayor and City Manager Cutting be designated as Acting Clerk of the City Commission and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Acting Mayor Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Houfbrau 200.00 - - - - American Legion 35.00 65.00 Bozeman Hotel 200.00 300.00 The Scoop 200.00 300.00 The City Manager and the Chief of Police stated they were not aware of any incidents in the operations of the above establishments that would warrant disapproval of the applications. In concurrence with the recommmendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Acting Ma yor Morrow, that the above applications be approved and the Director of Finance be directed to issue licenses in accordance therewith and the motion wes carried by the foLlowing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Acting I Mayor Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Extension of Water Mains -- Thompson-Weaver Additions Herbert I. Thompson and Neal F. Weaver appeared and discussed with the City Commission the status of City water mains recently extended into their developments in south Bozeman and tne division of costs for those installations. 199 They were advised that the City would give fUll consideration, consistent with existing policies, to participation in these projects. I Montana Power Co. -- Street Lights (New Billing) Manager John Cromer of the Montana Power Company appeared before the Commission to advise that under a new method of billing street light main- tenance costs, a reduction of 25t per lamp per month on 106 units would be extended to the City of Bozeman retro-active to July 1, 1962 and an adjustment upward of 35t per month per unit on a number of alley lights would of necessity be made as of January 1, 1963. The result of this accounting change would therefore be an approximate net saving to the City of $21.95 per month in the Cityrs street light maintenance costs. Mr. Cromer was thanked for his appear- ance and for the information conveyed. .
