HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-06-06 89 Bozeman, Montana June 6th, 1962: The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis- sion Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, June 6th, 1962 at l:UO o'clock P.M. I Present were Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow, City Manager Cutting, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. The-following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Sedi vy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Commissioner Sedivy's Absence from June 13th and 20th Meetings Authorized It was reported that Commissioner Sedivy would be absent from the regular meetings of June 13th and 20th, as it is necessary that he attend the National Guard Encampment at Helena, Montana. In compliance with Chapter 2.08 of the Boze- " man Municipal Code, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Mayor Staudaher, that the absences of Commissioner Sedivy on the dates mentioned be authorized and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow, those voting No, none. I Cancellation of Gas Fitter and Plumbing Bonds -- Gallatin Plumbing & Heating A Ie tter from the bonding company reques ting tha t cancella tion of the plumb- ing and gas fitter bonds of Gallatin Plumbing and Heating, Belgrade, Montana, be approved was presented. The City Manager recommended that the City comply with the request and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by CommiSSioner Morrow, that'the cancellation of the bonds effective as of June 16, 1962, be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Examination of Depository Bonds The Commission proceeded to examine the Custodian's Receipts for Depository Bonds held by the Director of Finance as security for City funds deposited in Bozeman banks. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedi vy , that the securities be approved and a list thereof be set forth in full in the minutes of this meeting and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and I Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, tha t the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the fOllowing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Steudaher, Commissioner Morrow and I Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. After examination of the claims in detail and checking against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that all claims as presented be approved and the motion was carried by the following I Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrow; those voting No, none.
