C. 1\1., 1947 and Chapter 2.08 of the Bozeman Municipa 1 Cod.e for the orr;aniza tion of the Ci ty Commis- I sian in accordance wi th the resul ts of ttw Regular Municipal Elec tion he 1d November 7th, 1961, the City Commjssion met at lO:UU o'clock A.M., Janl1.9.ry 8th, 1962, in the Connnission Room, City Hall Building for organization purposes and the trans- action of unfinished business. Present were Mayor Swanson, ComTIissioner Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner-elect Morrow, City Manager Cutting, city Attorney Berg, Ass't. City l!Ianager Fryslie and the Clerk. The following proceedings wore had: Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by commissioner Staudaher, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher and Commissioner Sedivyj those voting No, none. Resolution No. 1037 -- Approval of City Building Facilities Preliminary Planning A resolution required to complete the planning loan for the proposed new City Building Facilities (Housing and Home Finance Agency Project No. P-Mont. 315U), and approving the completed planning documents for the project as prepared by Oswald I Berg, Jr. and Associates and William E. Grabow, Architect was presented to the Commission, entitled: COl~~ISSION RESOLUTION NO. lu37 A R.ESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, APPROVING THE ARCHITECT'S PLANNING DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO A PUBLIC WORK PROGRA~~ FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED CITY HALL AND SHOP BUILDIlWS. The Ci ty Manager s ta ted the re solu tion had been prepared by the City Attorney and recommended that the resolution be passed and adopted. It ViaS moved by CommIs- sioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Staudaher, that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Staudaherj those voting No, none. Additional Claims for December, 1961 Additional claims for the month of December, 1961, No's. 205~ to 2086, inclusive, were presented on ~e various funds as fOllows: Fund Amount Fund Amount I General $2,425.22 S tr e e t $2,131.23 Wa ter 1,103.74 S.D.S. 238.02 Librar:f 219.81 Park 211.67 Cemetery 47.62 Garbage 481.46 Parking Meter 52 .82 Total $6,911.59 The City Manager stated he had audited the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims af,ainst the City of Bozeman and recommended that they be approved and warrants issued for paJ~ent. After eX3mination of the claims in detail and --- -- --- - 28 checking against the claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Staudaher, seconded "'> by Commissioner Sedivy, that all claims be approved and the motion was carrled by the fo~lowing Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Swanson, Commissioner Staudaher and Commissioner SedivYj those voting No, none. Reslgnatlon -- R. Harry Morrow (Board of Adjustment) Mayor Swanson introduced a letter of resignation received from Commissioner~ I elect R. Harry Morrow, which stated that because of existing statutes it was now necessary for him to resign as a member of the Board of Adjustment. Mayor Swanson, connnenting that under other circumstances he would be reluctant to accept Hr. Morrow's resignation, stated that in view of the s ta t"u tory au thori ty ci ted he could not do otherwise. Reorganization of City Commission This was the time and place s at by Man tana Sta tu te for reorganiza tion of the Ci ty Commission as per the resu1 ts of the regular municipal elections held in 1959 and 1961. All unfinished business to be brought before the Commission having been concluded, the Cit~T Manager reported that W. w. Lessley, Dis tri c t Judge, had approved the official bond of H. Harry Morrow, the duly elected City Commissioner for the Ci ty of Bozeman for a four-year term commencing January K, 1962, and tnat said bond is on file at the office of the County Clel'lc and Recorder. Retlring Ma:ror Swanson turned the Mayor's chair over to incoming Mayor S ttcn.lchlher , and R. Harry Morrow was seated ns City Commissioner.
