The Commission ot the City ot Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission
Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, January 24, 1962 at 1:00 o'clock P.M. Present

The tollowing proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved ,by Commissioner
Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as read and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivyj those voting No, none.
State Gasoline Tax Refund Claim
A claim for refund of State Gasoline Tax for gasoline used by the City in the
amount of $1,052.70 was presented. The City Manager requested that he be authorized
to sign the claim in behalf of the City. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, sec-
onded by Commissioner Morrow, that the authorization be granted and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher,
Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrowj those voting No, none.
Request of Director of Finance ..- Investment of Funds
The City Manager presented a memorandum from the Director of Finance request-
I ing to invest funds in U.S. Treasury bonds as follows:
Police Reserve $ 2,500.00
Cemetery Permanent Care 14,OOU.00
The City Manager recommended that the investments be approved. It was moved
by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that authorization be
granted for the investment of funds as set forth above and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher, Commis-
sioner Morrow and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Report of State Examiner
The report of the annual examination of the reoords of the City made during
the month of December, 1961 by the State Examiner was placed before the Commission.
The City Manager reviewed the defioiencies cited in the report and stated a letter
of acknowledgement to the State Examiner's office at Helena would be prepared and
presented for approval by the Commission at a later date.
City Building Facilities Program -- Claim for Architectural Services
A claim in the amount of $9,144.62 filed in favor of Oswald Berg, Jr. and
I Associates and William E. Grabow, Architect in payment for the joint firm's services
for preparing preliminary planning documents for the City's Building Facilities
Program was presented. The City Manager stated that the program (Housing and Home
Finance Agency Project No. P-Mont. 315U) had been approved and advance funds in this
same amount paid by the Federal Agency and he recommended the architects' claim be
approved and a warrant issued in payment. It was moved by Commissioner SediVY, sec-
onded by Commissioner Morrow, that the architects' claim be approved as presented

and the Director of Finance directed to issue a warrant in payment. The I
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being .
Mayor Staudaher, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Morrowj those voting
No~ none.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time
it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the
meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Staudaher~ Commissioner Morrow and Commissioner
Sedivyj those voting No, none.
