The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 2 Novembpr 1966, at l:30 o'clock p.m. Prp:=:ent were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner
Morrow, Commissioner Lanp;ohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't rity Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Ben;;
and the Clerk.
Commissioner Morrow opened the meeting with a prayer and the followinp; proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held Wednesday, 26 October 1966, were read and it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approven AS corrected,
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Langohr, Commissioner Morrow, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Street:.. Ligh!:.ing Agreement - Hontana Pmver Company SLID No. lf62 - N. 18th:
The Agreement prepared by the Montana Power Company covering the Street Lighting in District
No. 462 was presented to the Commission. In discussing the agreement, the Commission were informed
that the provisions set forth coincide with the Resolution of Intention. In concurrence with the
recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner
Langohr, that the Contract Agreement with the Montana Power Company for the installation and main-
tenance of Special Improvement District No. 462 be approved and that the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Commission be authorized to sign for the Cityand the motion was carried by the follmving Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, COmmissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those
voting No, none.
Requ_~~~ to hold fund drive for P"etarded Children - Sigma Nu ancl.~"Q~L.:._
A request from Richard A. Davis, Co-Chairman, Campus Committee, Association for the Retarded
Children of Gallatin County for permission to conduct a Fund Drive on Saturday, 19 November 1966,
~vas presented. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that per-
mission be granted to Sigma Nu Fraternity and A 0 Pi Sorority to hold fund drive on Saturday, 19
November 1966, for the Gallatin County Retarded Children Association and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow
and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Hr. Lohn o. }ialstrorn and Hrs. Harion Bergersen - SID No. !j-66 - Paving on \>lest Be0l..l_i'_~reet:
Mr. John o. Malstrom 304 North Grand Avenue and Mrs. Marion Bergersen 103 North Willson Avenue
were present to inquire on the assessment of their property located in this area for the construction
of SID No. 466, 1966 paving on West Beall Street. Following a thorough discussion of the formation
of the District and the assessment of this area the Commission directed the City Attorney to further
examine applicable statutes in an effort to find some legal means of reducing the heavy burden placed
on the properties of Mr. Malstrom and Mrs. Bergersen.

The City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against
the City of :Bozeman and recommended that they be approved and the Director of Finance be directed
to issue warrants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and checking against the
claim register, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the
claims be approved and the motion '''as carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by COTImlissioner Langohr, that the meeting be adjourned, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner
