The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 4 January 1967, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner
Morrow, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg
and the Clerk. I
Commissioner Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were I:j.ad:
Minutes of the regular session held Wednesday, 28 December 1966, were read and it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Mayor's Proclamation: Janua.EL!..967 as "Alien Address Report" month:
Mayor Sedivy announced his proclamation of the month of January 1967, as "Alien Address Report
Month." Aliens are required by law to list their addresses and other information required by the
immigration service in January. Cards for the reports are available at the nearest post office.
It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the Mayor's pro-
clamation be endorsed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Authorization for painting of Library: Aprroximately $975.00:
The attention of the Commission was invited to the essential need for painting the interior of
the library and the City Manager advised the Commission he had obtained a quotationin the approximate
amount of $975.00 and recommended that the painting be authorized. In concurrence with the recommend- I
a t ion of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr,
that the painting of the Library be authorized at an approximate amount of $975.00 and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner
Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

Promotion of Lt. C. R. Cutting to Captain - Police Department:
The City Manager announced his promotion of Lieutenant C. Ronald Cutting to Captain of the Bozeman
City Police Department in accordance with the Recommendation of the Civil Service Board, advice of the
City Attorney and at the request of the Chief of Police, effective as of Wednesday, 28 December 1966.
It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the Commission concur in
this promotion and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by I
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the reports be approved and ordered filed
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting no, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against
the City of Bozeman and recommended that they be approved and the Director of Finance be directed
to issue warrants in payment. After examination of the claims and checking against the claim register
it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the claims be approved
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, Seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner
Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
