The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 15 February 1967, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner
Morrow, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg I
and the Clerk.
Commissioner Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held Wednesday, 8 February 1967, were read and it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
~intment of Street Supt. Gera!d Collier - employeed since 1 July 1948: Ass't. Supt. since 1 August 1959:
Mr. Cutting announced his appointment of Gerald Collier to the position of Street Superintendent
and the sanitation department effective March 1, 1967, to fill the vacany created by the retirement
of willis G. Springer. The City Manager reported to the Commission that Gerald Collier has been
employed by the City since 1 July 1948 and has been Ass't. Street superintendent since 1 August 1959
and is very well qualified to fill the position. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by
Commissioner Morrow, that the Commission concur in the appointment of Gerald Collier as Street Super-
intedent effective 1 March 1967, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

Malcolm Story again appeared before the Commission to present a further explanation of his
offered sale of (2900) decreed miner's inches of the water of Rocky Creek to the City of Bozeman.
It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the City Manager acknow-
ledge receipt of Mr. Storey's request and that the material be referred to the City Engineer for
further study and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner ~orrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
~.wi th People" - Musical 24 February 1967 - Fieldhouse:
Miss Gale Kinzie and Mr. Mike Elgie as representatives of the sponsoring Associated students
of Montana State University appeared before the Commission to explain a singing group musical program
called "Up with People-Sing Out '67" to be presented the 24th of February 1967. The representative
of the Associated Students of Montana State University also requested that the City Commission
sponsor an informal coffee hour reception on the 24th day of February to provide an opportunity for
City officials and heads of service organizatiDns to meet members of this musical group. It was moved
by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that their request be noted and further
consideration be given the same and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. I

The Water Collector's report was presented. The City Manager commented on the report and re-
commeded the approval thereof. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr,
that the report be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
