HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-02-23 4R6 Bozeman, Montana 23 February 1967 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Thursday, 23 February 1967, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't City Manager Fryslie, Acting City Attorney O'Connell and the Clerk. .1 Mayor Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the regular session held Wednesday, 15 February 1967, were read and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. ~!!l:?.._\! i:..J:.h__.pe oJ)l~_'_~~~<:.~p!..~?_~..!r ~_~~L_.~4 _~~_ b_1.:_~a_!T_~~?J__: ..1Q-=.1~"~.~l()_ c_k.: . ~:J'1 : Upon further consideration of the request presented at the meeting on 15 February 1967 by re- presentatives of the MOntana State University Associated Students, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the City Commissioners as individuals participate in an informal coffee hour reception for members of the cast of "Up with People" and representatives of service organizations, to be held on Friday, 24 February 1967, at 10:30 o'clock a.m. in the Conference Room, City Hall Building and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. ~1.f.':.~_~~LE'y~_~g___P_~~c ha f?_~}-L~~Qo.E.2_eEJ~.i:p-~..:__~!_~0_ O..J~~.~. t__@~e..P.Eox i.m~.~_~l..j._~~5_:.Q_~ The City Manager reported that it would be desirable to replenish the City's stock of Copper pipe and requested authority to purchase 1500 feet of 3/4" copper pipe in the approximate amount of I $975.00. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow , seconded by Commissioner Langohr. that the purchase of the copper pipe be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF TAXES UPON ALL THE PROPERTY IN SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 439 IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, COUNTY OF GALLATIN, STATE OF MONTANA, TO DEFRAY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING AND MAKING THE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN SAID SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 439. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the resolution be provisionally passed and adopted and 1 March 1967, be set as the date for public hearing and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF TAXES UPON ALL THE PROPERTY IN APECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 452 IN THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. COUNTY OF GALLATIN, STATE OF MONTANA, TO DEFRAY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING AND , MAKING THE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN SAID SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 452. I Following a discussion of the Agreement and in concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the subject Agreement be approved and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City and tha t Edmund P. P -Mon tana - 3296 : ~ __ _ ""r _,."'_"~'__ ~ ,_,,__ An Agreement for Public Works Plan Preparation, Project No. P-Mont.-3296, Contract No. H602-2541 along with a letter from the Department of Housing and Urban Development Region VI Area Office for an advance of funds not to exceed $20,000.00 for a sanitary sewage system study for the City of Bozeman was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, tha t the subject agreement be approved and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized to sign the Agreement for the City of Bozeman and the Mayor bedestgnated as a City Dfficial to sign the other documents pertaining to this project and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: I those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none. Reports for January "Continued": The following reports were presented for January: Cashier Director of Public Service The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner 4R8 Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
