The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 8 June 1900, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow,
Conunissioner Langohr, City Hanager Cutting, Ass't City Manager Fryslie, Acting Attorney O'Connell and
the clerk.
Mayor Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer, and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session held Wednesday, 1 June 1966, were read and it was moved by
Commiss ioner Morrow, seconded by Commissi oner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read, and the
motion ,vas carried by the follmving Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morr,>w, Comm-
issioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Additional LOi?dLng_J.onc at Hazter Hotel:
A letter from Mr. Robert Staab requesting an enlargement of the loading zone on Main Street in front
of the Baxter Hotel was presented. The City Manager explained that the reconstruction of Main Street had
eliminated part of the loading zone at that location and that upon inspection and in concurrence with
the recommendation of the Chief of Police stated that he proposed to authorize the extension of the loading
zone with a fifteen minute time limit from the corner of '~illson Avenue and Main Street to the West Side
of the hotel property if it met with the approval of the City Commission. It was moved by Commissioner
Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the extension of the loading zone from the corner of
Willson Avenue and Main Street to the west side of the hotel property be approved and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye bein~ Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow,
and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Open Bids for sale of B~lildings on Jones property: 31 and 41 West Hentlenhall Styc('~_
This was the time and place set for opening bids for the sale of the buildings on the Jones property
recently purchased by the City of Bozeman located at West Mendenhall Street and North Willson Avenue.
It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the bids far sale of the
buildings be opened and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Morrow, Conunissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

After tabulation of the bids, it was recommended by the Ci ty Manager, that the bids be taken under
advisement and brought in for Commission action at a later date. In concurrence 'vith the recanunendation
of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morro,v, seconded by Conunissioner Langohr, that the action
be delayed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner

}layor Sedivy announced his proclamation of the month of June, 19G6, to he "Dairy Month" and encouraged
all citizens to enjoy milk and other dairy foods, and urged the civic and business organi~ations to cooperate

Anderton had left the State of Montana. Following the recorrnnendation of the City Manager, it was moved
by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the cancellation of the bond be approved
effective as of 1 June 1()66, and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Corrnnission be authorized and directed to

be on duty with the National Guard inHelena on that date, the City Manager represent Mayor Sedivy on
the Elks Lodge Day Program and that the program as suggested by the subject letter be otherwise approved,

A letter from the City-County Planning Boarrl addressed to the City Connnission was presented trans~
mitting the final plat of University Sub-Bivision No.2 and including the rearrangement of Lot 3, Block
6 - Lots 1 and 2, Block 7 - Lots 1 and 2, Block 8, and recommending its approval as a final plat.
Following a discussion of the University Sub-Division No.2, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow,
seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the Plat be approved contingent upon favorable review by the
City Engineer and the City Attorney, and the City Manager be authorized and directed to sign the plat as
the Director of Public Service, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: Those
voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
