The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 10 August 1966, at l:OO o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor SediVY, Commissioner
Morrow, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg
and the Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session held, Wednesday, 3 August 1966. were read and it was moved
by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read, and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Change-order G-5: Municipal Building, Traverse Rods - $l92.06:
The Architects, as instructed, prepared a change-order to incorporate an addition to become a
part of the contract for the Municipal Building Facility;
Change-order No. G-5: To furnish and install extra drapery
tract in City Administration Building
and Police Station, as directed by
the owner.
Amount $l92.06
The City Manager reported he had examined the change-order and found it to conform to the item
and cost discussed and recommended that it be approved as prepared. It was moved by Commissioner
Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that Change-order No. G-S in the amount of $l92.06 be
approved as prepared. and that the Mayor be authorized and directed to sign for the City, and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow.

Hearing Resolution No. l290 - Intention to Create SID No. 474 - Sanitary Sewer Strozzi Subdivision:
This was the time and place set in Commission Resolution No. 1290 to hear protests to the
creation of the Sanitary Sewer, Special Improvement District No. 474. Affidavit of publication of
Notice and the Clerk's mailing certificate stating that all property owners had been notified as re-
quired by law were presented. The City Manager informed the Commission that as of 5:00 o'clock p.m.
8 August 1966. there were no protests on file and no one appeared to verbally protest the creation
or extent of the District and recommended that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare a resol-
ution creating the district.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN
CREATING A SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS SPE-
CIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 474 OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND INSTALLING AN EIGHT INCH
SANITARY SEWER LATERAL MAIN TO SERVE A PORTION OF THE KIRK
SUBDIVISION NO.4 AND STROeZI'S SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA.

with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Comm-
issioner Langohr, that the resolution be passed and adopted to create Special Improvement District
No. 474, and the motion WaS carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-
issioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Authority to purchase fencing Material - City yards on Tamerack St. Approximately $725.00:
The City Manager requested authority to purchase fence material in the approximate amount of
$725.00 to install eight foot chain link fence on Tamarack Street from North Bozeman Avenue to the

City Yard Building. It waS moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that
the authorization to purchase the material be granted and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, COlmnissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy,
those voting No, none.
Vacation leave of Absence for City Manager: 13-28 August:
The City Manager requested that he be granted vacation leave of absence from 13-28 August
inclusive, and that Harold A. Fryslie, Ass't City Manager be designated to perform the duties of
the City Manager during that period. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner
Langohr, that the reguest be granted, and Mr. Fryslie be designated as Acting City Manager during
the period stated, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Continuation Certificate - Electrical Bond Ben Hespen, Belgrade:
In compliance with Chapter fifteen of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the electrician license
bond of Ben Hespen, Belgrade, Montana was presented for approval. The City Manager reported that
the Building Inspector recommended that the Bond be approved. The City Attorney approved the bond
as to form, and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the
bond be approved and accepted, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the reports be approved, and the motion

Langohr and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against
the City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance be directed to issue
warrants in payment. After examination of the claims in detail and checking against the claim re-
gister, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the claims be
approved, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-
issioner Langohr, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none:

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the meeting be adjourned, and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner
Langohr, and Mayor Sedivy; those voting No, none.
