This being the ti~e designated by law (Section 11-3249), R. C. M., 1947 and
Chapter 2.08 of the Bozeman Municipal Code for the organization of the City Commission
in accordance with the results of the Regular Municipal Election held November 2, 1965,
the City Commission met at 10:00 o'clock a.m., January 3rd, 1966, in the Commission
Room, C1 ty Hall Building for organization purposes and the transaction of unfInished
business. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City
Manager Cutting, Assft City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the minutes be approved as read and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vo te: thos e vo ting Aye being
Mayor Morrow, Commis s loner Sedivy an d Commissimer Langohr; thos e va ting No, none.
Reorganization of CJty Commission:
This was the time and place set by Montana Statute for the reorganization of
the City Commission as per the results of the regular municipal elections held in
1963 and 1965. The retiring Ma yor having con eluded all unfinished bus ine ss to be
brought before the Commission at this time, cow~ended the Manager's office and
department heads and expressed his apprecia tion for their effor ts dur ing his term
and then turned the Mayor f s gavel over to Incoming Mayor Sedivy. Commissioner R.
Harry Morrow and Commissioner Don M. Langohr, Jr. were then seated as City Commiss-
ioners.
Mayor Sedivy reviewed some of the City's outstanding accomplishments obtained
under Mayor Morrowts leadership and concluded by presenting Mr. Morrow with an
engra ved "Key to the City" as a token of apprecia tion for his sp lendid services
during his term as Ci ty Commissioner and Mayor.
Ad.; ournment:
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time,
it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the
meeting adjourn, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those
voting Aye being Ma yor Sedivy, Commis s loner Langohr, and Corumi ss ioner Morrow; those
voting No, none.
