HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-09-01 223 Bozeman, Mon tana September 1, 1965 The Commission of The !,;ity of bozeman met inregular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Wednesda y, 1 September 1965, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, I Asa't City Manager F'ryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the last regular session held Wednesday, 25 August 1965, were read and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, tha t the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those vot Ing Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Cotrmissioner Langohr; those voting No, none. For final passage & Specialrrsx Levy: Resolution No. 12H) - S.I.D. 441 This was the time and place set for hearing protests to levying assessment for Special Improvement District No. 441. Affida vi t of publication of No tice was presen ted. No one was present to protest and no protests having been filed, Resolution No. 1:.?19, provisionally passed and adopted at the regular meeting held August 25, 1965, was presented for final passage. In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the re- solution be finally passed and adopted and the motion was carrie.] by the following I Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commiss iuner Langohr; those voting No, none. No one was present to protest and no protests having been filed, Resolution No. 1220, provisi8nally passed and adopted at the regulat meeting held August 25, 1965, was presented for final passage. Right-of-Way Easement -S.I.D. Nn. 454: Ranch House Motel An Agreement to provide a Right-of.;'Va y easement from E. L. and Ka tharine Sullivan owners of the Ranch House Motel for a sanitary sewer installatin in Special Improve- ment District No. 454 on East Main Street was presented. The City Manager recommended that the City enter into the Agreement, and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langobr, that the Right-of-Way easement be entered into and the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission be authorized and directed to sign for the City, and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those va ting No, none. Li~cense Bonds: Everett Egbert, Bozeman - (a) Plumber (b) Gas Fi t ter I In compliance wi th Chapter l6 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the plumbing and gas fitter bonds of Everett Egbert, Bozeman, Mmtana, were presented. The City Manager stated the Building Inspector had recommended approval of t he bonds and the City Attorney bad approved them as to form. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, the. t the bonds be approved and t he motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye be:!ng Mayor Morrow, Comm- issioner Langohr and Commissioner Sedivy; thos e vo ting Ko, none. North Reservoir Road Repair: An agreement proposal from Pioneer Ready Mix of Bozeman, Montana, dated 25 August 1965 to grade, .~;lace an average 4" la yer of cushion grave 1 and do other inciden ta 1 work on an approximate 1500 foot section of the North (Lyman Creek) Reservoir Road on the C. E. Vogel property and to maintain the road for a period of one year was presen ted. Water Sewer Line on Thompson's :3rd Subdivision: Owners of Thompson's No. :3 Addition installed in 1963, eight and six inch water mains to and along Spring Creek Drive to serve that area from the City's l8" transmission main and also a short section of sanitary sewer main on a portion of South Tracy - all in accordance with City standards and approved by the City Engineer. In Concurrence with the recommendation of The Gity Engineer and The City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that these water and sewer mains be accepted by the City as a portion of the City of Bozeman water distribution and sanitary sewer systems and that the City assume maintenance of same and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, CommissLmer, Sedi vy and Commis sioner Langohr; those voting No, none.
