The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission
Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, 22 September 1966, a t I :00 0' clock p.m. presen t
were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr; City Manager Cutting,
I Ass't City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Mayor Morrow opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were
had:
Minutes of the last regular session held Wednesday, 15 September 1965, were
read and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, tha t the
minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
va te : those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow and Commissioner Langohr; those vo ting No,
none.
Mr. R. M. Murray - Gravel Alley on East F'each
Mr. R. M. Murray of 2 East Peach appeared to complain about the conditions of
the alley on East Peach, and inquire what could be done to obtain improvements of the
alley. He was informed that the City has been hauling gravel and will be in a posi-
tion to put the heavy equipment in the alleys to repair them as soon as the weather
permits.

This was the time and place set for hearing protests to le vying assessment for
I Special Improvement District No. 454. Affidavit of publication of Notice was pre-
sented. No one was present to protest and no protests hav.:i.ng been filed, Resolution
No. 1231, provisionally passed and adopted at the regular meeting held September 15,
1965, was presented for final passage. In concurrence with the recommendation of
the City Manager, it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr,
that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the

This was the time and place set for hearing protests to levying assessment for

sented. No one was present to protest and no protests having been filed, Resolution
No. 1232, provisionall passed and adopted at the regular meeting held September 15,
1965, was presented for final passage. In concurrence wi th the recon1l1enda tlon of
the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Iangohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow,
I that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow and Commissioner

This was the time and place set for hearing protests to levying assessment for
Special Improvement District No. 458. Affidavit of publication of Notice was pre-
sented. No one was present to protest and no protests having been filed, Resolution
No. 1235, provisionally passed and adopted at the regular meeting held September 15,
1965, was presented for final passage. In c'::ncurrence with the recommendation of
the City Manager, it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr,
that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the I

Resolution No. 1238 levying assessmen t for the oollection and disposal of
garbage for the year 1965, in the amount of $62,478.63 was presented, entitled:

Special Tax Levy - Resolution No. 1:239 - 1965 Street Lighting - $4,515.65
Resolution No. 1239 levying the assessment in the total amount of $4,515.65
for the varlous lighting districts for the year 1965, was presented, entitled:

Special Tax Levy - Resolution No. 1240 - 1965 Street Sprinklin~ - $7,920.43
Resolution No. 1240 levying the assessment in the total amount of $7,92U.43 for
street sprinkling and cleaning for the year 1865 was presented, entitled:

Authori ty to purchase police lmiforma: Approxir'a tely $985.70.
A written request of Police Chief Saunders for authorization to purchase police
I uniforms in the approximate amount of $985.70 was presented. Following advise that
the purchase is budgeted and the recommendation of the City Manager, tha t the purchase
be approved, it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, tha t the

Authorization to attend Montana Statewide

It was announced a Montana statewide community development conference is sche-
duled to be held in Great Falls, Sep tember 30, 1965 J and in concur rence with the City
Manager's recommendation, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor
Morrow that the entire City Commission and the Assistant City Manager be authorized
to attend the meeting and, it being in the public interest, the expenses incurred
be charged to the Planning Board fund and the mo tion was carried by the followIng
Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow and Commissioner Langohr;
those vo ting No, none.

Two right-of;1.way easement agreements from the Westland General Enterprises,
Inc. , for the ins taIls tion of s;orm drainage pipe continuing on the Cle veland Avenue
line through the Spring Dell addition on South Black Avenue to Spring C"reek were
presen tad. The City Manager recommended that the City enter into the agreements,
and it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the two

Commission be authorized and directed to sign for the City and the motion was carried

Red Heart Tag Day 0 Women ()f the Moose - "October 2,t 1965!_tt
A request from the ladies of the Moose for the Mayor to proclaim October 2,
1965, as Red Heart Tag Day in the Ci ty of Bozeman for the benefi t of crippled
children to be used for hospitalization ano treatment of children from all sections
of Montana in Shodair Crippled Children's Hospital at Helena, Montana, was presented.
In concurrence with the recorrmendation of the City Manager, it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, the t the Mayor proclaim
October 2, 1965, as Red Heart Tag Day and the motion was carried by the following

The Clerk of the Commission reported that the Commission's appointment of
