The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in r8gular session in the Commi.ssion
Room, City Hall ~lilnin~, VVednesday, 24 November 1965, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. presen t
were Acting Mayor Sedivy, Commispioner Langahr, Acting City Manager Fryslie, City
Attorney Berg and the Clerk. I
Ac ting Ma yor Sedi vy opened the mee tin g wi th a prayer and the following pro-
ceedings were had:
Minutes of the last regular session held Wednesday, 17 November 1965, were
read and it wa s moved by Commis si oner Langohr, seconded by Acting Mayor Sedivy,
that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and No vote: thos voting Aye being AcUng May.or Sedivy and Commissioner
Langohr; those voting No, none.

It was reported t~le M0ntana Municipal League has scheduled a meeting of the
Executi ve and Legisla ti ve Corrmi ttees to be held ~n Great Falls on .Friday, 3 December
1965, and the Acting City Manager requested that th e member s of The Ci ty Commission
and he be au thorized to a t tend the meetinc:r. It was moved by Acting Mayor Sedivy,
seconded by CommJs sioner Langohr, tha t the authorization to attend the meeting be
approved and, it being in the public interest, the tra ve 1 expenses incurred be paid
from the general fund. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: I:

none.
Construction Claims: Schultz & Lindsay & Harold Hoskins & Assoc.
The Acting City Manager presented the following Semi-final S.l.D. Claims:
Schultz & Llndsay Construction Co., - $91,759.94
Harold Hoskins & Associates - 4,588. fiO
The Acting Vity Manager pommented on the claims and found them to be true
and lawful claims against the Ci ty of Boz eman and recommended tha t they be approved
and the Director of Finance be directed to issue warrants in payment. After exam-
ination of the claims it was moved by C~mmisBioner Langohr, seconded by Ac t 1.ng

The Acting City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval.
It was moved by Acting Mayor Sedlvy, seconded by Comm:is sione I' Langohr, that the
reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried b~T the followIng

Central PTA - Traffic Control "Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Gary."
Mr. Richard I. Hamilton and Mr. Joseph B. Gary of the Central Council P.T.A.
appeared before the Commission to discuss the '!'raf fie Con trol light on North Seventh
Avenue and as to what progress is being made in this respect. They were also in-
I terested in the clearification of the school-boy signs in the cen ter of the street
and the safety signs placed on the side of the streets.
Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Gary were informed that the school-boy signs have been
removed from Main Street and North Seventh Avenue but are still being used in the
other school locations. The new school crossing signs have been placed on the side
streets on Main Street and North Seventh Avenue. They were a Iso informed tha t the
proposed traffic control lights on North Seventh Avenue were pending on a traffic
count now in progress at that location and would be subject to fur ther considera tion
by Montana Highway Officials after the study in progress is completed.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time,
it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Acting Mayor Sedi vy, tha t the
meeting adjourn and the motion was carried Qy the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye be ing Ac ting Mayor Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.
