City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Corrmissin Resolu tion No. 1246: Certification Delinquent Special Levy Taxes. Resolution No. 1246 - Certify'cng delinquent taxes in the amount of $30,209.12 to the County Treasurer was presented, entitled: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1246 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CI TY OF BOZEMAN DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND INSTALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESS- MENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30, 1965, AND UNPAID AS OF THAT DATE, AND CERTAIN OTHER SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AND IN STALLMENTS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, DUE AND PAYABLE NOVEMBER 30, 1965, AND UN- PAID DELINQUENT, AS HWVIDED BY CHAPTER 2.32 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE AND SECTION 11-2233, POLITICAL CODE, R.C.M. 1947. In compliance with Chapter sixteen of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the gas fitter bonds of Gordon Jensen d/b/a/ 4-G Plumbing and Heating was presented for approval. Rep,?rt on Seattle HU" Meeting 2 December - City Manager: The City Manager reported on his attendance at a Housing Urban Development meeting at Seattle, Washington, 2-3 December 1965. He expla1,ned tl)::-l t the rH;:W pro- grams under the Housing Act of 1965 are designed to provide assistance for cIties. He a Iso s ta ted no detailed informa tion was avai labIa at the HUfJ mea ting bu t the I programs were explained and ideas given on the area in which assistance is available for city needs. Commission Resolution No. 1247 : Purchase of .T~nes Property $42,500.00. As directed by the Co~~ission action during its regular Session held December 1, 1965, The City Attorney has prepared proposed Commission Resolution No. 1247 to - purchase the Jones property on West Mendenhall Street at Willson Avenue, being lots 9 to 12 inclusive, Block A, Tracy's 2nd Addition, to the City for $42,500.00 cash, entitled: COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1247 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE C lIT OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AN'} THE CLERK Of" SAID CITY COMMISSION '!D EXECUTE SECURITIES IN PART PAYMENT OF THE PURCHASE OF PARKING FACILITIES AND TO SECURE THE PAYMENT THEREOF BY A P LEDGE OF REVENUES FROM THE SAID PARKING FACILITIES AND OF ALL REVENUES FROM ANY AED ALL STREET PARKING METERS OWNED OR TO BE OWNED AND I CONTROLLED BY THE CI TY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE POWERS SET FORTH AND ENUMERATED IN SECTION 11-1018, REVISED CODES OF MONTANA, 1947. prepared by The City Attorney was presented. Bank in the amount of $12,500.00 to be repaid at the rate of $103.00 per month from January 10, 1966 through January 10, 1968, for the purpose of part payment of the purchase price along with a Pledge of parking meter revenues as security for the pa yment of the aforesaid loan, both to be signed by the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commis sion I was presented and approved. .- The City Manager paid trlbu te to Mr . R. M. Lockwood, President of the First National Bank for his fine assistance, to Ben Berg for the au tstanding legal work and also to Harold Frys1ie for the splendid work he ha s done in carrying on ne- gotiations in the City Managers absence. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that Mayor Morrow be commended on the excellent report and the mo tion was carried by the following Aye an d No vote: those voting Ay'e being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohrj those voting No, none. 280 Holiday - 24 December: Declared by Governor~ The Ci ty Manager reported tha t the Governor's proclama tion declar:,ng Fr i da y, 24 December 1965, as a holida y fer State Employees which had also been extended to County Employees, had been noted and recommended that the paid holiday be extended to all City Employees. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded I by Cormn,is sioner Sedivy, that the City office be closed and Friday, 24 December 1965, be declared a paid holiday and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none. Mayor's Annual prayer Breakfast: It was reported that Friday, 3 December 1965, at 6:30 A.M. was designated as the day for holding the fourth Annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast.
