The Commission of the City of ,Bozeman met in regular sesaion in the Commission
Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, 2 June 1965, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. presen t were
Mayor Morrow, CommissloTIer Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, Acting City Manager Fryslie,
I Acting City Attorney O'Connell and the Clerk.

Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the fo llowing proceeding s
were had:

it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, the t the minu tes

Leave for Ci ty Mana p;er - Oscar E. Cu ttinp:: 1 June thru 6 June.
The City Manager requested that he be granted vacation leave of absence from 1
June to 6 June inclusive, and that Harold A. Fryslie, Ass't Cfty Manager be designated
to perform the duties of the City Manager during the period. It was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Iangohr, tha t the request for vaca tion be granted and
Mr. Fryslie designated as Acting City Manager during the period stated and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those votIng Aye being Mayor Morrow,

I Request to vacateportior of Koch Street - 19th and 20th ave.
A request from Marguerite KirK to vacate a portion of Koch Street between 19th
and 20th Avenu~ 'in' Kirk:' B First Subdivision was again brought before the Commission
for further consideration.
In discussing the property to be vacated, it was reported that the Planning
Board concurred in Marguerite Kirk's request of vacating fifteen feet on the south
side of Koch and fifteen feet on the north side of Koch as there seems to be no possi-
bilityof Koch ever becoming a major arterial street. In concurrence with the
recommendation of the Acting City Manager, it was moved by Commls s loner umgohr,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the request be granted and the Ci ty A ttorne y
be instructed to nrepare the necessary documents to vacate a portion of Koch Street
between 19th and 20th Avenue and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner

Proposed Union A~eement - City of Bozeman Teamsters Local #53 & Labors Local #1277.
I A proposed agreement in regard to wages and other employment conditions submitted
by the City of Bozeman Teamsters Local #53 and Laborers Local #1277 was presented.
After discussing the Agreement thoroughly, the Acting City 1~nager recommended it be
referred to the City Attorney for study of the legality of the proposed provisions and
for further consideration with the new budget. In concurrence with the recommendation
consideration of the agreement was tabled.

Request for Miscellaneous S.I.D.'s - West Park Manor: Western General Enterprises
A petition to create Special Improvement Districts for the purpose of installing
paving, sanitary sewers, water and storm sewers in the entire West Park Manor Addition
was presented to the City Commission. After discussing the proposed Special Improvement
Districts, the Acting City Manager recommended the request be tabled for examination
by the City Attorne y and further study by the Commission,. In concurrence with the I
recommendation of the Acting City Manager, it was moved by Commissionsr Sedivy,
seconded by Commissioner LangohI', tba t considera tion oft he reque at be tabled for
one week and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting

Authority to Travel - Montana Fire Department Association - Fire Chief Huber and
Firefighter Younker - Lewistown 17-19 June.
It was reported that a ltleet:lng of tre Montana Fire Department P.;::::.:ociation is
scheduled to be held in Lewistown, 17-19 June, a rrl in concurrence with the recommendation
of the Acting Ci ty Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Comm-
issioner Sedivy, that Fire Chief Huber and Firefighter Gary Younker be authorized to
a ttend the me sting, and, it being in the public interest, the ir expenses be pa id from
the General fund. The ,motion was carri ed by t he following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Connnis s ioner Sedl vy a nd Commissioner LaniCohr; those
voting No, none.
Application of installation of Car wash - Bair's East Main Service Station I
The application for installation of a car-wash at Bair's East Main Service
Sta tion was ~in ,brQught 'Qef.ore t,ne QQmmls~ion., A letter was received from the
State Board of Health relative to disposition of waste from the car-wash whereby
they have given clearance to construct the car-wash as the sump proposed appears to
be adequate. In concurrence with the recommendation of the Acting City Manager, it
was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the request
be approved and the Building Inspector be au thorized to issue a permit to construct
the car-wash at Bair's East Main Service Station and the motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye bejng Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy,
and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.
