The Commission of the City of Bozerran met in regular session in the CommisSion
Room, City Hall Building, Wednesday, 27 January 1965, at l:uO p.m. Present were

Mayor Morrow opened the me eting with a prayer and the fOll.Owing proceedings
were had:
Minutes of the last regular session hel.d January 2v, 1965, 1965, were read and
it w as moved by Cormnis s ioner Langohr, secnded by Commissioner Sedi vy, that ttle
minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: Voting Aye, Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr;

Delegation - Electrical Contractors
Mr. Con E. Mannix and Eldon C",nser repre sent ing th:l Electrical Con tractors
and John L. Hamby representlng the loca~ Electrical Union of Bozeman were present
to request an immediate revision of the Cityts ElectricaL Code, to include an
Advisory Board consisting of five members. 'Ihey contended the present regulation
of electrical work in Bozeman is unsatisfactory and several specific instances
were cited in which it was alleged no permits were secured and no inspections were
made, and suggested the proposed Adv:l..sory Board would be in Cioser contact with

the Electrical Contractors and Electriclans and insure electricai work in Bozeman
would be carried out in a more sa tlsfac tory manne r. The l.;ity Commission advised
tha t full C0ns idera tion of the request wculd be given when the revised ELectrical
Code is considered and tha t the complaints presented would be investigated.

It being inthe public interest, The Ci t Y Manager concurred wi th the reque s t
of the Director of Finance and recommended the authority to re-inves t the above
funds. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissi'ner Langol1I',
that the re-lnvestrnent as rey'uested be approved and the motion was carried by "Che

The December :3l, lD64, report of the Director of Finance was presented.
The City Manager advised the Commission this report, be ing the c los e of bust nes s
at the end of the firs t ha lf of the flscaL perlod, lndicated City operations to
be weli wi thin the budget and recommended the report's approval. It was moved
by Cot'1missjoner Langotlr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the report be apIJr-

Petition for Ar:nexation - Gallatin CrlUnty Rest Home Property- Durston Road
The City Manager reported that a letter nad been received from tile Gal.Latin
County Commissioners requesting that the Gallatin County Rest Home property be
annexed to the City of Bozeman to provide a reduction of insurance rates and in-

Right-of-Way Easement for Storm Drainage - S.I.D. No. 444: Hoey-Thompson
Two agreements to provide ~ right-of-way easement for the Storm Drainage of
Special Irnprovement District No. 444 within the Maple fl'errace Subdivisinn were
presented. The C:tty Manager recommended that the City enter into the agreements,and
it was moved by Comm:issioner Langohr, seconded by Commis sloner Sedj"vy, the. t the
easement agreements be entered into by The City and tha t the Ma yor and the Clerk
of the City Commission be authorized and directed to sign for the City. 'l'he moti on

Petition for Sanitary Sewer for S. 20th Ave. & Koch St., (Kirk & Graf.) I
A petition to create a special Improvement District for the construction of
a sewer line to serve an area on Soutn 2uth Avenue and Koch Street was presented
to the City Commission. The City 1\'anager recommended that it being in the pub.1ic
in teres t, the City Englneer be instructed to ascertain Distrint boundarles for
participation and the City Attorney be directed to prepare a Resolution of Inten-
tion to Crea te the Dis tric t. It was moved by Commissi oner SediVY, seconded by
Commissioner Langohr, tha t the foregoing ae ti on as recommended by the (.;i ty Manager
be apr)roved and the di s trl c t ini tia ted . 'l'he motion was carried by the foL-owing
