The Commission of the City of Bozeaan met in regular session in the Commission
Room, Oi ty Ha 11 Building, Wednesday, March 31, 1965, at 1:00 0' clock p.m. Present
I were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting,
Ass't City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk.
Commissioner Is.ngohr opened the meeting wi th a pre yer am the following pro-
ceedings were had:

Minutes of the last regular session held Maroh 24, 1965, were read and it was
moved by Commissioner Langohr, seoonded by Mayor Morrow, that the minutes be approved
8S read and the motion wa~ carried by the following Aye and No vote: those vottng
aye, being, Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those v~ng
no, ,none.
Open Bids: Cast Iron Fipe & fittings:
This WBS the time and place set for opening bids for Cast Iron Pipe & Fittings
for reconstruction of the water main on Main Street between Fifth and Seventh Avenue
and to meet other needs of the Water Department. The affidavit of pulication of the
Notice to Bidders was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by
Commissioner Langbhr, that the bids be opened and read and the motion was oarried
by the following Aye and No vote: those voting aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner
I Sedivy and Commissioner Is.ngohr; those voting No, none.
The Bids were opened and read and referred to the City Engineer for tabulation,
study and recommendations.
Reschedule S.I.D. Bond Sale No's. 441 to 451, Inc. and 455 - to Special Meeting 29 April
A deficiency having ,been discovered in the published notice of the Special
Improvement District Bonds Sale scheduled for April 20, 1965, and on recommendation
of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner
Langohr , that the sale of the bonds be rescheduled in a proper manner tor a Specia I
Meeting of the City Commission to be held on April 29, 1965, at 1:30 o'clock p.m.
and the motion was carried by the following aye and no vote: those voting Aye being
MaJ'Or Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.

It was reported a Fire Department Officer Command School is scheduled to be
conduoted at Yakima, Washington, April 12th thru the 15th, and in concurrence with
the recommendation of the City Manager and the Fire Chief, it was moved by Commissioner
I Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that Fire Chief Jaok Huber, and Aaaft
Chief Herbert Hoey, Jr., be authorized to attend the school, and it being in the
public interest, their expenses be paid from the approporiate City Funds. The motion

Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langobr; those voting No, none.
Petition for Annexation: Homesites Addition And Stevens Subdivision N. 17th Ave.
A petition addressed to the Mayor and City Commission, Signed by property owners
of the Homesite Addition and Stevens Subdivision requesting the property be annexed

in the City of Bozeman was.presented. It was reported t,b.a t if this proper ty were
annexed into the City it would permit proper zoning regulations and an opportunity
to obtain improvements within the designated area.
Following a discussion of this area and on recommendation of the City Manager,
the City Commission directed tha t the petition be aclU10wledged and tab:}..ed for

Wa ter Ma in on Durs ton (11 th A '/e · to a12proximately 14th Ave.) GaLlatin Rest Home.
It was reported tha t due to a requirement for proper fire protection for the
Gallatin County Rest Home, a request had been received from the County Commissioners
for an agreement with the City for the extension on Durston Road, of a City Water
Main of adeaua te size to provide the necessary amount of wa ter required by the
Gallatin County Rest Home. It was moved by Commissioner SediVY, seconded by Comm-
issioner Lengohr, that the City Manager and the City Engineer be authorized to
negotiate with the County Commissioners for the establishment of a joint City-County
project to accomplish the desired installation. The motion was carried by the
following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy
and Commissioner Lengobr; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It I
was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the reports
be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner
Langohr ; those voting No, none.
Claims for Copper pipepurchases (5) Total $2,328.00 to obtain discount
It was reported that in order to obtain a 1% discount offered by Co-Op Lead
& Chemical Company for five orders of Copper ~bing purohased since February, it
was necessary to present these claims in the total amount of $2,328.00 at this time.
In concurrenoe with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner
Sedi vy, seoonded by Commissioner Langohr, that the subject five claims in the total
amount of $2,328.00 be approved in order to obtain the discount and the Director of
Finance be directed to issue warrants for their payment. The motion was oarried by
the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner
Sedivy and Commissioner Langobr; those voting No, none.

There being no further business to come before the Commission a t this time, I
it was moved by Commissioner langohI', secon~ed by Commissioner Sedivy, tha t the
meeting be adjourned and the motion was carried by the fallowing Aye and No ~ote:
