The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Rooml City
Hall Building, Wednesday, 21 October 1964~ at 1;00 o'clock P.M. Present were Mayor Morrow,
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with aprayer and the following prooeedings were had=

Commissioner SediVYI Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, City Attorney Berg and the
Acting Clerk.
Minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner Langohrl
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote,: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy~
and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No: None.
Request for 35' Curb Openingl Four Plexl So. Tracy Ave., and Koch street.
Mr. G. M. Beatty appeared before the Commission to request permission for a 35 foot ourb
opening along Koch Street to serve a four plex housing unit he is constructing at the corner of
Tracy Ave.1 and Koch Street. Following disoussion and comment from the City Manager and Chief
of Police it was moved by Conunissioner SediVYI seconded by Commissioner Langohr that the curb
opening be granted as requested and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Mayor Morrowl Commissioner Sedivy. and Commissioner Langohr: those
voting No: None.
Authority to Purchase Rotor Assembly for Bras Snow Plow.
It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy. seconded by Commissioner Langohr that the purchase be

Bros Snow Plow and requested authority to purchase the unit at a cost of approximately $700.00.

Agreement for Park Dedication: Westlake Property North of Peaoh Street.
An agreement drawn in accordance with Commission action of 29 July 1964, and providing
for Park Area Dedication for all of the unplatted property owned by Myron M. and Aura D.
Westlakel located North of Peach Street together withWestlak's Second Addition was presented.
The City Manager reoommended that the agreement be approved and it was moved by Commissioner
Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy that the agreement be approved and the Mayor and Clerk
be authorized to sign for the City and the motionwas carried be the following Aye and No vote:

to conduct their annual "Red Heart Tag Day" activities and sale in the Central Business
Distri.ct on Saturday, 24 October 19641 was read. Following recommendation by the City Manager

M. r. C. Campus Police & Traffi: Control.
A letter from Dr. Leon Johneon, President of ~,10ntana State College, requesting that
certain speed limits be set ontv[. s. C;. Streets by City Ordinance and thatM. S. c. Campus
Police Force be designated as Special Policemen of the Bozeman City Police Force in
order to clear certain legal questions in regard to the authority of the Campus Police
to issue City Police Court Traffic Citations was read.
Following discussion and
upon advice from the City Attorney, The City Manager announced his appointment effective
this date, of the following H.S.C. Campus Policemer, as SpeCial l-'olicemen of the Bozeman
Cityolice Force, such appointments to be without cost to the City, ana to continue for
a period of one year.

It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr that the appointments
as announced by the City Manager be approved and that further consideration of establishment
of speed limits on }1.S.C. Streets be tabled for one week to allow for further study by the
Chief of Police and M.S.C. Traffic Officials and the motion was carried by the foJlowing

S.LD. 437 (Water Mains-Beall St., N. 18th Ave., et:. )-Ilcceptance of Contract and Final
Ps.yment to Contractor.
A certificate from Harold Hoskins & Associates, Consulting wgineers, stating thut
construction of' water mains within Special Improvement District No. 437, had been completed
in accordance with the plans and specifications of the contrb.ct by Utility Buildel'S Inc.
of Great Falls, Montana, and recommending that the City accept and approve the project
as completed was presented. The City Manager and City Engineer concurred in the recom-
mendation of the consultant engineer, and the Manager informed the Commission that a
detennination had been made that all valid claims avainst the contr2,ctor resulting from
the const,ruction have been paid. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by
Cornmissioner Sedivy that in concurrence vrith the fore[;oing recornmendations, the contract
work in Special Improvement Dis~,rict No. 437, be ariproved and accepted as completed and
final payment be made to the contractor upon presentation of a final estirnaLe and claim

Builders, Inc. of Great Falls, Hontana, and recommending that the City accept and approve
the project as completed was presented. The City Hanager and City .Engineer concurred in
