HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-02-28 457 Bozeman, Montana 28 January 1970 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, 28 January 1970, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. I Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proce~gs were had: Minutes of the regular meeting held 21 January 1970 were read and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as corrected and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Comm- issioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none. Plat - Rearrangement of Border Tract 13. for Approva 1 : The final plat of Rearrangement of Tract No. 13 of Border Tracts, City of Bozeman, was pre- sented along with a favorable recommendation from the Bozeman City-County Planning Board. Follow- ing a discussion of the Plat, the City Manager concurred in the recommendation of the City-County Planning Board and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the subject plat be approved and that the City Manager be authorized and directed to sign the plat as Director of Public Service and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none. Proclamation - "Heart Month' February: Several members from the Heart Association appeared before the Commission to request Mayor Langohr to proclaim February to be "Heart Month" and 22 February to be "Heart Sunday." In concur- I rence with their wishes, Mayor Langohr issued the proclamation and urged all citizens to support this important drive with their gifts and voluntary services. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow. seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the Mayor1s proclamation be approved and endorsed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none. Authority to Travel to Bi 11 ings - Police Chief Cutting, Captain Dorman, Sgt. Smiley and Mrs. Bender: A letter received from Chief of Police Cutting requesting that he, Captain Dorman, Sergeant Smiley and afternoon dispatcher, Mrs. Bender, be authorized to travel to Billings to view the traffic accident and anaylsis system employed by the Billings Police Department and to discuss the needed materials for the application for a Highway Safety Grant was presented. In concurrence with the Chief of Police and the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the above members of the Police Department be authorized to travel to Billings as requested and, it being in the public interest, their expenses be paid from the General fund and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none. Reports: The following reports were presented: Director of Finance SDS Plant Operator I The City Manager commented on the above reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the reports be approved and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-- issioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye bein ioner Morrow and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none.
