The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal
Building, 18 March 1970. at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the
Clerk. I
Mayor Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held 11 March 1970 were read and it was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner
Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Changes to Zoning Map:
The revision to the proposed zoning ~hange on the strip of land approximately one block in
width, generally lying between North Eighth Avenue and North Ninth Avenue extended and between the
southern boundary of the Royal Vista Subdivision and Durston Road was continued following a review
of the subject area and reading of the tape of the Board of Adjustments meeting by the Commission.
Following a discussion, the Commission concurred in 'the recommendation of the Board of Adjust-
ments and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the strip of
land approximately one block in width, currently zoned "A" Residential, generally lying between
North Eighth Avenue and North Ninth Avenue extended, and between the southern boundary of the
Royal Vista Subdivision and durston Road remain Class "A" Residential Zone and that all other pro-
posed changes or amendments be approved as presented and the motion was carried by the following I
Aye and No vo te : those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr;
those voting No, none.
,Bid Opening - Paving Improvements: "SID No. 493 & 494 South Montana Avenue: S. Willson Ave.:
W. Garfield Street
This was the time and place set for receiving bids for construction of paving:Lmprovements
on South Montana Avenue SID No. 493 and 494, South Willson Avenue and West Garfield Street. Affi-
davit of publication of "Notice to Bidders" was presented. Two sealed bids were on file and it
was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the bids be opened and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy,
Commissioner Morrow, and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
The following bids were then opened and read:

In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner
Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the bids be referred to the engineers representing I
consultant Thomas, Dean & Hoskins and the City Engineer for final tabulation and recommendation in
regard to the lowest and best bid for the construction of the improvements and the motion was carr-
ied by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner
Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none.

Authority to Attend Fire Command School - Yakima, Washington 12-16 April - Fire Chief Jack Huber:
A Fire Department Officers Command School is scheduled to be conducted at Yakima, Washington.
12-16 April 1970 and in concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager and the Fire Chi.ef,
it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that Fire Chief Huber be
I authorized to attend the school, and, it being in the public interest his expenses be paid from
the General fund and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
Being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none.
Proclamation - "Camp Fire Girl Week" 15-21 March 1970 - 60th Anniversary:
Mayor Don M. Langohr announced he had issued a proclamation designating the week of 15-21
March 1970 as"Camp Fire Girl Week"recognizing sixty years of service to girls aged seven through
high school. The Commission concurred with Mayor Langohr and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the proclamation proclaiming the week of 15-21 March 1970
as "Camp Fire Girl Week" be endorsed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote:
those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting
No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It was moved by
I Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the reports be approved and ordered
filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm-
issioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none.

There being no further business to come be fore the Commission at this time, it was moved
by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the meeting be adjourned and the
motion was ca~ried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow,
Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none.
