HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-04-29 489 Bozeman, Montana 29 April 1970 The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, 29 April 1970, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Langohr, Commissioner Horrow, Comm- issioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Mayor Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the regular session held 22 April 1970 were read and it was moved by Commissioner I Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor L3ngohr; those voting No, none. Mr. Ross McPhearson of the Forest Service \Vas present to explain the existing circumstances to consider in the opening of the watershed. The City Manager reclOmmended that the Cooperative Agreement be approved and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, se- conded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the Cooperative Agreement for the purpose of maintaining and protecting the quality of water from National Forest and City Lands within the Bozeman Creek Water- shed, a source of the d,!?mestic water supply for the people of Bozeman, Montana, be approved and the Mayor and the Clerk of the City Commission be authorized to execute it in behalf of the City of Bozeman and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting l\ye being Comm- issioner Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none. R<:..~.:EE9 i n tme n t to Police Commission: Harold R. Hogg - 1 May 1970 to 30 l\'pri ~ 1973: I The City Manager announced his reappointment of Harold R. Hogg as a member of the Bozeman Police Commission for a three year term from 1 May 1970 to 30 April 1973. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded hy Commissioner Morrow, that the Commission concur in the reappointment of Harold R. Hogg and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Comm- issioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Langohrj those vo ting No, none. Electrician Bond - Service Electric: - -- In compliance with Chapter 15 of the Bozeman Hunicipal Code, the certificate for the Electrical Bond of Service Electric, Bozeman was presented. The City Manager stated the Building Inspector had recommended the approval of the bond which has been approved as to form by the City Attorney and it was moved by Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the aforementioned bond be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commi.ss ioner 1'-lorrow, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohr; those voting No, none. Proc!~amation - Law DaY--L Friday 1 May 1970: ^ proclamation prepared by Mr. James A. MacLean, Chairman of the Montana Law day and issued by Mayor Langohr designating Friday, 1 Hay 1970 as Law Day in Bozeman was presented. The Commission concurred with the recommendation of the City Hanager and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Morrow, that the Clerk of the City Comrn.ission be directed to advertise for bids for the sale of bonds of the District in the approximate amount of $S,700.00 to be received 27 May 1970 and the motion was carried by thc follow- I ing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Commi.ssioner Sedivy, Commissioner Morrow and Mayor Laneohr; thoRe voting No, none. ~c!.12~1:nm~n L :...
