MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
MONDAY, S January, 1970

This being the time designated by law (Section 11-3249, R.C.M., 1947, and Chapter 2.08 of
the Bozeman Municipal Code for the organization of the City Commission in accordance with the I
results of the Regular Municipal Election held 4 November, 1969, the City Commission met at 10:00
o'clock A. M., 5 January, 1970, in the Commission Room, Municipal Building, for organization
purposes and the transaction of unfinished business. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner
Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes and the Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:

This was the time and place set by Montana Statute for the re-organization of the City
Commission as per the results of the Regular Municipal Election held in 1967 and 1969. Retiring
Mayor R. Harry Morrow having concluded all unfinished business to be brought before the Commission
at this time, expressed his appreciation for the support given to him by Commissioners Sedivy and
Langohr and commended the Manger's office and Department heads and Staffs and also expressed his
appreciation for their efforts during his term and then turned the Mayor's gavel to incoming Mayor
Don M. Langohr, Jr. Commissioner R. Harry Morrow was then seated as City Commissioner, having
fully qualified for a new four year term.
Mayor Langohr reviewed a summary of the City's outstanding accomplishments obtained under
Mayor Morrow's leadership and concluding by presenting him with an engraved Plaque as a token of I
Appreciation for his splendid services during his term as City Commissioner and Mayor. Mayor
Langohr then stated that he expected to continue the program in any way contributing to the "Better-
ment" of Bozeman.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Morrow, Comm-
issioner Sedivy and Mayor Langohrj those voting No, none.
