The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Municipal
Building, 3 December, 1969, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner
Langohr, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, Acting City Attorney O'Connell and the
Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held 26 November, 1969, were read and it was moved by Commiss-
ioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr and
Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Designation of Pres~dent Pro Tempore:
In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy,
seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the absenceoc Mayor Morrow be authorized in compliance with
Section 11-3245, R.C.M., 1947, and that Commissioner Langohr be designated to act as President Pro
Tempore of the Commission and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.
Auth2r~~~ to Attend Montana Chiefs of Police Meeting, Great Falls, 4 December 1969:
The Annual Conference Montana Chiefs of Police Association is scheduled to be held in Great
Falls, 4-5 December, 1969, and the Chief of Police requested authority to attend the meeting. In
concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the authority to attend the meeting be granted Police chief
Cutting, and, it being in the public interest, his expenses be paid from the General fund and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr
and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
Request to Sell Christmas Trees, Baptist Student Union:
A letter received from the Baptist Student Union requesting permission to sell Christmas trees
was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the re-
quest to sell Christmas Trees be granted subject to clearing the selling proceedure and location with
fue City Manager and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commissioner Sedivy and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No, none.
Author~ty to Inst_all Lighting in Kirk Park, Bozeman Houseke_epers Club Contri~ution:
The City Manager reminded the Commission of the $500.00 contribution by the Housekeepers Club
for installation of lights at New Kirk Park and advised them that the Montana Power Company will
install two 175 watt lights near the rest room facility and also install a 110 service mounted upon
one of the steel poles and fed with underground wire at an approximate cost of $186.00, with a
monthly current and maintenance fee of $3.84 per light. Following a discussion, it was moved by
Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that authorization be given the Montana Po~er
Company for the installation of the two lights and the llO volt service as recommended above and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr
and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the reports and recommended their approval.

The City Manager checked the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against the
City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance be directed to issue
warrants in payment. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that
the claims be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting
Aye being Commissioner Langohr, and Commissioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by
Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the meeting be adjourned and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy and Comm--
issioner Sedivy; those voting No, none.
