The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City
Hall Building, Wednesday, 24 September 1969, at l:OO o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Morrow,
Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the
Clerk, and Commissioner Langohr.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the regular session held 24 September 1969, were read and it was moved by Commiss-
ioner Sedivy, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor
Morrow; those voting No, none.

This was the time and place set for public hearing on levying final assessment for constru-
ction of Special Improvement District No. 487 in the final amount of $76,856.65. Affidavit of
publication of Notice was presented. No one protested in person and there being no written pro-
tesffi filed, Resolution No. 1417 was presented for final passage. It was moved by Commissioner
Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and
the motion Has carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner
Langohr, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
Flcaring Resolution No. lLd8 - Assessing SID No. 488 - Final Adoption:
This was the time and place set for public hearing on levying final assessment for constru-
ction of Special Improvement District No. 488 in the final amount of $29,901.50. Affidavit of
publication of Notice was presented. No one protested in person and there being no Hritten pro-
tests filed, Resolution No. l!+l8 was presented for final passage. It was moved by Commissioner
Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the resolution be finally passed and adopted and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No Vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sed-
ivy, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

sent to protest in person, Resolution No. 1419 was presented for final passage. It was moved by

adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those votingAye being Comm-

A letter received from Barb Kurk, of the Student Council of the Rosary High School, requesting
permission to conduct a Homecoming Parade on Saturday, 11 October 1969, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. was
presented. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that permission
to stage the parade as requested be granted and the motion Has carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those
voting No, none.

The Third in Service Training Session of the Southwestern Zone is scheduled to he held in

Butte, Montana, 23-26 September and in concurrence with the recommendation of the Police Chief.
also concurred in by the City Manager, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commiss-
ioner Sedivy, that Captain Johnson be authorized to attend the first session on 23-24 September
and that Captain Dorman be authorized to attend the second session of In-Service Training Session
of the Southwestern Zone to be held the 25-26 September and. it being in the public interest. the
expenses be paid out of the General Fund and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No
vote: those voting aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those
voting No, none.

It was moved byCommissioncr Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the Municipal
Band be granted authority to conduct a band concert in conjunction with the Optimist Air Show
scheduled to be held 5 October 1969, at l:OO o'clock P.M. at the Airport and that the concert be
conducted at the City's expense. The motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, nonc.

Resolution No. 1420 levying the assessment in the total amount of $1,665.05 for the exter-
mination and removal of noxious weeds for the year 1960 was presented, entitled:

The Application for a one-half year City Beer License, together with the required fee, from
Michael Citeraro of the Village Inn Pizza parlor, North Seventh Avenue, Bozeman, was presented.
The City Manager and Police Chief stated they had no information relative to the Village Inn Pizza
Parlor that would warrant disapproval of the application. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr,
seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the above application be approved therewith and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Comm-
issioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

A Right-of-Way Easement from The City of Bozeman conveying to the Montana Power Company the
right to remove the three inch gas line at the New sewage waste water disposal plant located on
the Springhill Road and to replace the line along the South Lot line and also the East Lot line

of the property at a participation cost of $l,OOO.OO to be paid by the City g~ Bozeman, was pre-
sented. A new gas service line to the Waste Water Treatment Plant will also/provided in the
rearrangement of lines. Following a thorough discussion, the Commission concurred with the re-
commendation of the City Manager and it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner
Langohr, that the Easement Agreement be entered into and the $l,OOO.OO relocation partici-
pation be approved by the City and the Mayor and the Clerk of the Commission be authorized and
directed to sign the Easement for the City and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow;
those voting No, none.

Mayor Morrow issued a proclamation designating the month of October as "Toastmasters Month"
and urged all citizens to acquaint themselves with the unique educational opportunities offered
by the Toastmasters International. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner
Sedivy, that the proclamation as requested by the Local Toastmasters be approved and the motion
was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Comm-
issioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
