HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-07-14 I I I Bozeman, Montana 14 July 1969 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in Special Session pursuant to Call by the City Manager in the City Hall Building, Monday, 14 July 1969, at 1:30 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had: It was reported by the City Manager that this Special Meeting was called to review prelim- inary planning for the budget for the fiscal year ending 30 June 1970. A general discussion was had of basic policies for the overall operation of the City Government. Activities for the past year were reviewed and planning for the new fiscal year and immediate future was considered. The Commission was informed in detail of the obligation and needs of the departments and again advised of the continued inadequacy of operational funds that are provided under existing limitations of Montana Law. Mr. Virgil L. Buettner, Business Representative of the Bozeman Teamsters, Chauffers, Ware- housemen and Helpers - Local 53 attended the meeting and advised the commission that they have requested an increase of 25i per hour for the maintenance crew. Mayor Morrow thanked Mr. Buettner for appearing before the Commission and advised that the request would be taken under consideration when the necessary data is available in regard to funds available. The City Manager further advised Mr. Buettner, that he was prepared to give their request every possible consideration, however, he pointed out that such consideration would be governed by the fund limited by State Law that can be made available for such consideration. There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the Special Meeting be adjourned and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
