HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-05-28 360 Bozeman,t<onlana 28 Hay 1%9 The Commission of the Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, Hednesday, 28 May 1969, at 1;00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Frys1ie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Commissioner Langohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: I Minutes of the regular session held 21 May 1969 were read and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye & No vote: those voting aye heing Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none. ~!:.~~~~f;':......~L_9..:?.n3!::..~~~~on e E. S ~_d i Y1 : In concurrence with the recommendation of the City Manager, it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the absence of Commissioner Sedivy be authorized in compliance with Section 2.08.060 of the Bozeman Municipal Code. The Motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none. .~~~sJ...<!.e_~a_~. i:..~~-:"__~~~(J_~:..~ t ~::..<:..t ion ...,~~ i(~~_-:- He t e rw..9 rks_ B~ te rmen t: Prp j e:..s:_~_; The City Engineer and the engineers representing consultant Thomas, Dean & Hoskins, Inc., having completed their study of the bid submitted for the reconstruction of the-diversion and intake struct- ures of Bozeman Creek and on Lyman Creek in connection ~vi.th the Waterworks Betterment Project, and having prepared a final tabulation of the bids recommended that Robert Taylor Construction of Bozeman Montana, be awarded the contract for construction on the basis of its bi.d in the amount of $71,919.75 being the lowest and best bid submitted. The City Manager concurred in the recommendation of the engineers and it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the contract be awarded to Robert Taylor Construction on the basis of its bid as noted above and that the bid sec- 1 urity of the unsuccessful bidders be returned and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none. OQ~.____ The Street Department has need for a ~upp1y of crushed gravel for use in its program on various streets within the City. The City Manager requested the authority to purchase 350 cubic yards one- half inch crushed gravel at an approximate cost of $945.00. It was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the purchase of crushed gravel as requested be authorized and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow and Commissioner Langohr; those voting No. none. ~~..r2_EJ___'2.ue~d Bond -J. W. Ts_chache. Gas_Fitt~r~_-,~(Jl1ci,__: In compli.ance with Chapter 16 of the Bozeman Municipal Code. the gas fitter bond of J. W. Tschache, Bozeman. Montana, was presented. The City Manager stated the Building Inspector had re- commended the approval of the above mentioned bond and the City Attorney had approved the bond as to form. It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the continuation of the bond be approved and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
