BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:
Matthew Parsons, Chair Salal Huber-McGee

CITY STAFF PRESENT:

A. Call meeting to order: Matt Parsons,Vice Chair
B. Changes to the Agenda: Mayor Taylor explained that he had met with the Sports Park
Foundation earlier in the week,and they wouldn't be presenting today but next month
instead.

C. Public Comment: None
D. Approval of Minutes: March 10,2016 Meeting Minutes- Motion and Vote:Approved

E. Announcements:
--Clean Up Day: Steve Schnee explained the routes the board would be cleaning,where and
when to meet,who was helping,and that he would bring the supplies.
G. Committee Report,Discussion,and Action Items:
a) Bozeman Sports Park Foundation Fundraising Update:Postponed until next meeting.
b) Bridger Ski Foundation Presentation:By BSF representatives(Swithin,Dragon,Kyle)
-- Swithin started the presentation with a short history and talked about some
improvements to the ski trails,the Nordic grooming program,and year round
community recreation at Lindley.Snowmaking ability,installation of lights on the trails,
creation of a safe crossing at Highland Blvd,and paving of a multi-use recreational trail
were explained and highlighted in the presentation.
-- Mitch recommended their presentation be listed on next month's agenda for a motion
and vote to establish the board's support.
c) Division&Gallatin Valley Land Trust Report:None

d) Subdivision Review Committee Report: Brian Close[Attachment included]
--Brian explained his report from their last meeting.
e) Trails,Open Space and Parks Committee Report:Stephanie Gray
--Stephanie stated there hadn't been a meeting to report on since the last RPAB meeting
and referred to Carolyn Poissant to explain more about the Sports Park She described
the process and benefits of hiring a general contractor for this project.
f) FY'17 Budget Presentation:Mitch Overton[Attachment included]
--Mitch explained and elaborated on the budget for the department which includes
parks and TOP,recreation,forestry, cemetery,and aquatics. It does not include salaries,
wages,and benefits. He explained the areas where each division was asking for budget
increases.
g) Parks&Cemetery Superintendent Report: None
h) Parks&Recreation Director Report:None
i) City Commissioner Perspective: None
