The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday, 22 January 1969, at 1:00 o'clock p.m. Present were Mayor Morrmv, Commissioner
Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Fryslie, Ass't, City Manager Keyes, Acting City Attorney
O'Connell and the Clerk.
Commissioner Sedivy opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had:

Langonr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner
Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
plat - 7.0G Acres School Site:
A plat of approximately 7.06 acres of land located in the west one-half (W~) of the West one-
half (hr\) of the Northeast ~ (NEt) of the Southwest~ (SWk;) of Section 11, township 2 South, Range
'i East M.P.M., Gallatin County, Hontan<l fonnerly owned by W. A. Bomier and recently purchased by
School District No.7, was presented along ~vith a favorable recommendation from the Bozeman City-
County Planning Board. Following a discussion of the plat, the City Manager concurred in the
recommendation of the City-County Planning Board and it \Vas moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded
by Commissioner Langohr, that the subject plat of School District No. 7 be approved and that the
City Manager be authorized and directed to sign the plat as Director of Public Service and the motion
vas carried by the follO\ving Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner
Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

The Commission was referred to House Bill No. !j.2 vhcreby the 1967 legislature passed a measure
levying an additional one-half cent gas tax to be tlsed for road and street construction and maintenanc~
in Montana counties and cities.
The City Hsnager informed the Commission, that the Engineering Department has prepared pre-
liminary estimates for a proposed project to widen the pavement on South Willson Avenue to 46 feet
from 35 feet, from Cleveland Street to Garfield street at an estimated cost of $2.5,000.00.
The City Nanager recommended that $20,000.00 of this amount would be payable by HB-42 funds
currently allocated to the City of Bozeman and the property owners affected would pay for the replace-
ment of curbs and gutters in the approximate amount of $5,000.00. Following a thorough discussion,
it Has moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the City Hsnager be
authorized to prepare an application to the State Highway Department to proceed with the project of
\Jidening the pavement on South I'Jillson Avenue as explained between Garfield and Cleveland Streets in
the estimated amount of $20,000.00 of HB-!j2 funds and the $.5,000.00 balance to be assc~-;sed to the
property owners of that area and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those
voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

The Building Inspector explained the Annual report of the Building department for the year 1968.
It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the Building Inspector

The City Manager commented on the report of the Director of Finance and recommended the approval

PROVEMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. lf92
FOR TIlE PURPOSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF AN EIGHT (8)
INCH SANITARY SEI.JER IN THE ALLEY OF BLOCK 12, S PRINGBROOK ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO SERVE LOTS NINE (9) THRU SIXTEEN (16) INCLUSIVE.
prepared by the City Attorney as directed by the Commission Has presented. In concurrence with the
rccommenda tion of the City Manager, i t ~vas moved by Commissioner Sed ivy, seconded by Commissioner
Langohr, that the resolution be passed and adopted and that 13 February 1960 be the date set f0r
public hearing and the motion Has carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being
Commission Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr and Hayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
