The Commission of the City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, City Hall
Building, Wednesday,S February 1969, at 1:00 o'clock P.N. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner
Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Nanager Fyrslie, Ass't. City Manager Keyes, City Attorney Berg

Hayor Morrow opened the rneeting with a prayer and the follmdng proceedings were had:

This was the time and place set for receiving bids for construction of water and sewer lines on
East ClevelanG Street, East Garfield Street, East Lincoln Street and South Montana Avenue, SID No. lf89.

In concurrence 'vith the recommendation of the City Hanager, it ~vas moved by Commissioner
Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the bids be referred to the City Engineer and the
engineers representing consult,mt, ThoDlas, Dean and Hoskins, Inc., to chek the hids in detail,
prepare tabulations and make rccoTIllTlcnda tions in regard to the lowes t and bes t bid for the cons truc tion
of the improvement and the motion ~,as carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye
being Commissioner Langohr, Commissioner Sedivy and Mayor Morrmv; those voting No, none.

The City has need for an industrial mower and the City Manager requested authority to purchase
sucb a nlO'.Jt'r at an approximate cost of $685.00. It was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by
Commissioner Langohr, that tbe purchase of the industrial mower be authorized and the motion was
carried by the fol1mdng /lye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Scdi.vy, Commissioner

Follmving the constrllction of tbe ne~'l sewage disposal plant, the old site of the sewage plant

of the present sewage disposal plant consisting of approximately 8 acres a thorough discussion was
~e1d on the mstter.
A study had indicated that several potential uses may be desirable for this land by puhlic
agencies, incl.udin:; the City for Park and Recreation purposes or, as a possible location for City
shops and yards; Sehoo1 District No.7 as a possible school site.
Follmving discussion, the Commission concurred with the recommendation of the City Hanager and
it \vas ,noved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that on the basis of possible
public use the City would not be interested in entertaining any sale proposals of the property at this
time and the motion \vas carried by the follmving lI.ye and No vote: those voting Aye being Crltnmissioner
Langohr, Commissioner Sedivy ann Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

The City Hanager commented on the reports and recommended their approval. It \vas moved by
Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the reports be approved and ordered

It was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the street
department and other employees involved, be complimented and commended for the efficient and duti-
ful manner in which the snow had been removed from the City Streets during this Hinter and the motion
Has carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Comm-
issioner Sedivy and Hayor Morrow; those voting No, none.

The City Manager commented on the claims and found them to be true and lawful claims against
the City of Bozeman and recommended they be approved and the Director of Finance he directed to
issue Harrants in payment. After examination of the claims and checking against the Claim register,
it Has moved by Commissioner Sodivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the Claims be approved
and the motion VIas carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voUng Aye being Commissioner
Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr and Hayor MorroW; those voting No, none.
