HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-12-13 296 Bozeman, Montana 13 December 1968 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION Pursuant to the call of the Mayor and in compliance with the provisions of Section 11-3249, R.C.M., 1947, and Section 3.08.060 of the Bozeman Municipal Code, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman met in the Commission Room, City Hall Building, in Special Session, Friday, 13 December 1968 at 9:00 o'clock a.m. for the purpose of considering applications for the position of City Manager to become effective as of 1 January 1969 due to the retirement of the present City Manager, Mr. Oscar E. Cutting. Present were Mayor Morrow, Commissioner Sedivy, Commissioner Langohr, City Manager Cutting, Ass't. City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Frys1ie William H. Kraus John K. Powers Max L. Pope George Crawley Donald J. Bingham Hugh Bayless Albert Stites Thomas Monterossi 206 South Eighth 1287 California Ave. 505 South Tracy 19314 Larch Way Box 1886 8057 N. Links Way Bozeman, Montana Beaumont, California Bozeman, Mon tana Seaside, Oregon Forsyth, Montana Lynnwood, Washington Carmel, California Milwaukee, Wisconsin Klamath Falls, Oregon The City Commission determined that only the following four applications met the qualifications specified: Harold A. Fryslie William H. Kraus Max L. Pope Hugh Bayless 206 South Eighth 1287 California Ave. Seaside, Box 1886 Bozeman, Montana Beaumont, California Seaside, Oregon Carmel, California Upon additional consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Sedivy, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that Harold A. Fryslie be considered best qualified of all applicants and on that basis be appointed as Bozeman's City Manager effective 1 January 1969 at the present budgeted salary for that position and the motion was unanimously carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Sedivy, Co~issioner L8ngohr and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none. 0.c!i~~1 rn~~~12.!:_:_ There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Commissioner Sedivy, that the special meeting be adjourned and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, Commissi.oner Sedivy and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none.
