City Manager Fryslie, City Attorney Berg and the Clerk. Commissioner LBngohr opened the meeting with a prayer and the following proceedings were had: Minutes of the regular session held 11 December 1968 were read and it was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner ~angohr, that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Mayor Morrow, and Commissioner Langohr, those voting No, none. The Park Recreation Board at its meeting 11 December 1968 recommedecl that the request be granted. Mr. John Montagne was present to further explain the request but asked for permission to establish the course on the Lindley Park area south and east of the picnic shelter rather than on the Old Country Club area. After discussing the proposed change, it was moved by Commissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the request to set up a cross country ski track at Lindley Park immediately south and east of the picnic shelter be granted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr and Mayor Morrow; those vo ting No, none. l~e.:~~!:~:!:1.. The City Manager recommended that the City enter into the revised agreement and that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to sign the Agreement for the City. It was moved by Conrrnissioner Langohr, seconded by Mayor Morrow, that the subject agreement be entered into by the City as recommended and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote: those voting Aye being Commissioner Langohr, and Mayor Morrow; those voting No, none. It was moved by Mayor Morrow, seconded by Commissioner Langohr, that the City offices be closed and 24 December be declared a paid holiday for the City employees. P.M. in accordance with the terms of the Sales Agreement. Commissioner Langohr explained that the meeting tvas of a very high level and the experience derived therefrom would be of great value to the City when adopting policies in the future. Cutting's final meeting and stated they would be making further comment in this regard at a testimonial dinner to be held for Mr. Cutting on 30 December 1968, but did at this time extend best wishes to Mr. Cutting for many years of happy retirement. Tribute to Gene Ouaw: ~-......'--_.--_.~,~"-~,-~.~.,-~~"~-~~ Notice was taken of the death of Gene Quaw on Tuesday, 17 December 1968 and tribute paid to him as a man that has been most outstanding throughout his lifetime and as a citizen of Bozeman.
