Message: I am writing regarding the issue of the "taproom" across from Hawthorne school. I have felt
that the initial approval was a mistake. When my daughter went to school there, there was an incident
with pedophile hanging around the school. Having a bar there will only make this type of incident more
likely to happen again. It seems the city government is bending over backwards to encourage business,
often at the expense of common sense and the people of the city. Bozeman is a desirable place to live
and have a business, I don't think it is necessary to "bend over backwards" to encourage business. Let
the market decide what will work. (If it is uneconomical to build 3 or 4 stories rather than 5, then it is
