Message: In regard to Bozeman Taproom's request for a liquor license, I ask that you deny and that the
taproom retain beer and wine status only. My wife and I are appreciative of the owner's efforts and do
frequent the establishment, so we wish them the best. But there is a school across the street and,
though the law may leave some wiggle room on a technicality, we should not be serving hard alcohol
across from the school. It isn't right. And the applicants cannot make any promises or guarantees about
the future ramifications of such an establishment across from the school. Furthermore, I do not view
their investment to date as a consideration. They knew their location when they entered the endeavor
and should have considered the risks and opportunities therein. There is no promise that just because
one application gets accepted (beer and wine), there will be a rubber stamp for the next (liquor). Again,
