Message: Dear Commissioners, I am writing in opposition to any granting of an increase in the type and
variety of alcohol to the tavern across from Hawthorne School. Why? In a town rapidly becoming more
and more of a party town we do NOT need hard liquor being consumed across the street from an
elementary school. If you find the pressure to make the party at the tavern more fun for drinkers, then
at least bar them from serving hard liquor before 9 p.m. One other issue - The apartment complex
planned for Black is too large. And the developer does not understand that in Bozeman you can't walk to
everything. He should have to provide one parking space for each apartment in the building and not be
allowed to spill over into a neighborhood streets of single family dwellings. The building should not be
taller than three stories. All apartments should have parking in the building and not on the street. No
apartment dwellers should be able to park in single family house streets.
