Dear City Commission,
I am a parent with four children in the Bozeman School District. I am heavily involved in the
community as a soccer coach, certified soccer referee, Morning Star PAC treasurer along withyears of community service including a seat on the Bozeman City Ethics Committee.
I was at first surprised last summer when I saw the building being converted to a bar. As soon
as the Bozeman Taproom opened, I went to see for myself. I found it to be a wonderful use ofthe space. It is clean, family-friendly and welcoming to a wide variety of people. I have since
been there many times. In fact, it is now my preferred bar in town.
Extending the beer & wine license to a full liquor license will not negatively impact theatmosphere or the consumption habits of the patrons. And I disagree entirely with the
arguments I have read regarding the concern over the bar's proximity to HawthorneElementary. Bars have existed in this area for far longer than we have had this school.
Approve the full liquor license.
